Well, i'm a production guy who's job went to China so I have the QA job not by choice. I'm called a quality technician and handle the internal stuff and fall more into the process engineering department rather than the quality department. Not really happy with the job. Training is non-existent. One of the regular quality guys likes to come get me for problems during breaks or less than an hour before I leave on days I just happen to have to leave on time. He's also a pain and wants a corrective action for every little thing. I want my old job back!!

Today I learned that items that were shipping today were labeled wrong! Got 90 minutes overtime!

we have 4 qc guys here as well as 150+ other employees I get along with every one except this guy. he hates me and I dislike him lots and lots. As a matter of fact he is the only one on my dislike list

I learned that apparently, I got a raise last week, even though nobody made any mention of it. Had no idea until the wife pointed it out after spotting it on the automatic deposit thingy. This is the second or third time this has happened in the past few years.

Does this silent raise thing strike anyone else as odd?

 

I got a silent raise once about 25 years ago. Everything else has been verbal and expected... i.e., general increase.

I've learned I need to go work where coop does. They give out raises and you don't have to ask for them!

 

It's probably considered a "general increase," but since they don't do that on a regular basis, it's hard to say.

Oh well. Extra scratch for sitting around posting on TMS? I'm not complaining!
