^ Dude you're massive, makes me wanna go to the gym now. I usually go 5 times a week but I havent been putting on as much muscle and I'd like. It's probably the beer and the fact that I haven't switched up my routine is a year or so.

Beer will definitely do the trick. Alcohol hinders protein synthesis. Diet is the #1 most important thing when it comes to growing and also when losing.

crossfit around here is like a freakin cult! Everyone that does crossfit is alllll about it, and anyone else that goes to a gym is fooling themselves.

nah, I avoid it. I like some of the training they do using non machines, but I refuse to go into a place where the people are that into themselves and what they're doing. I see a lot of hate from that place on gyms like Planet Fitness, because they don't allow yelling, weight dropping, and people trying to 'roid it up like Mr. Universe. That's not what they're about, PF has a respectable business model, and they cater to a different customer. I prefer it at PF because you can actually use the weight lifting stations without having to wait for someone that drinks 12 protein shakes a day to get off of it.

I met the people running my local cross fit and it seemed family oriented. I'll give it a shot with what you said in mind

I like goin to the gym to stay healthy too and gain some muscle but i hate when those meat heads think they run the place.
On a short note, CrossFit is great for afull body workout with an emphasis on core and plyo with plenty of body weight exercises. Youll get ripped if you follow a solid weight plan mixed with CF. Ive seen plenty of people that prove it worksbut youll only knowfor yourself once you try it. Give it a shot and let us know!

I'd like to find a gym I can do things similar to Crossfit, using the plyometrics. Doing the heavy rope swinging, flipping truck tires, etc. Those kind of things get so much better muscle coverage than the typical benchpress, etc. There's a reason you never see anyone that works hard on a farm that's not strong as an ox.
