Love my new 4.10 gears!!
I know this topic has been discussed to death but I finally pulled the trigger on some new gears. After reading every post there is online about which gear to go with I decided on the Ford Racing 4.10s and I couldn't be happier. First off I have an auto 07 GT convertible with stock 3.31 gears with CAI and Bama race tune on 19" wheels. I had a local speed shop install them followed by dialing in the tune and correcting the speedo. They did an awesome job with the install. No noise, smooth as can be. The installer told me not to worry about breaking them in but I've been taking it easy so far and just cruising around town just to make sure.
I don't race or drag my car , I mainly just wanted it to be more fun to drive around town. With it being a vert with the extra weight I was so tired of pulling out from a dead stop, making a lot of noise and not really going anywhere. I would have to almost floor it sometimes to go. With the new gears its so effortlessly to take off now. I was worried before, thinking these gears would be too aggressive when taking off when I'm just wanting to ease around or when the wife drives but thats not the case. Really nice to ease around if you want or rip it wide open which I can't wait to do. RPMs not bad at all either. So to anyone who is worried or not sure about going to 4.10s don't be, my advice would be have a good shop do the install and get you a good tune as well to go with it.

Awesome to hear. I've had my 4.10's sitting here in my closet until I'm able to get them installed. Had them since the end of June...been a crazy busy summer. Can't wait to get them done.
