:nono: You better hope they don't, because the pony car is the one truly original bit of American heritage left that the Occidentals haven't touched yet...and that could help defibrillate the American auto industry.

On the other hand, the runaway success of the V8 Stang might joggle a few conceptualizations and with all the raw parts materials (V8 motors, RWD chassis) sitting on their parts shelves ready to be mixed into an oriental pony car, well, I'm just suprised we haven't seen it yet.

Well, large swathes of the American car industry could use a good jolt or two.

Looks like a Modified chrysler Crossfire

only i personally think gm's version is ugly looking...looks like it doesn't know what it wants to be...neither retro or modern...it looks overdone,bulky...then again if sales continue to go downhill for gm, there may be no company for the car anyways... (and does anyone think otherwise...name one car/truck gm makes that people are clamoring for?)

I really like both the Comaro and Challenger concepts. The Challenger is more retro, the Comaro more modern. I'd really like to see these cars hit the street.
These cars plus the Mustang are unquely American --
the imports can't touch them for heritage, mystique or power!
Just the shot in the arm Detroit needs, IMHO!

Ditto.....
And I like in the video how they make the comment about
"But was the Camaro name doomed forever?...
No way. Camaro is a valuable name...."
Yeah.....ever since the new STANG showed up, it sure is.....

The unveiling of both is very exciting though, the musclecar "pony car" wars are defintely back. The competition will produce improved cars for all of us. I can't wait, this is an exciting time!!!
