Yea. Actually, I looked back at the last few pages and noticed that no one ever really said, at least not explicitly, that "they're gonna buy it" but I guess its just the excitement of the fact that this could be a Muscle Car Renaissance upon us within the next few years.

Makes sense doesn't it? We got Mustang, Charger, 300C, Magnum, Corvette, Viper, Ram SRT-10, and possibly Camaro, Challenger, and SVT Adrenalin. Basically anything that is RWD, packs a V8, and is American-made. :usa:

EDIT: I realized that Viper and SRT-10 both have V-10s, not V-8, but you get the idea

Funny you mentioned that because something happened to me yesterday afternoon...I was picking up some Chinese food, when I noticed a shiny red car sitting in the Burger King parking lot adjacent to the Chinese place. As I approached, I noticed it had some pretty nice wheels, probably some CCW's ($$$ like I-forged/HRE wheels) on it and said to myself "now why would anyone put those wheels on a Cavalier? They cost nearly half the price of that car. Looks nice anyway." Then as I pulled into a parking space facing the car, but like 3 spaces down, the owner walked over to his car and opened the door getting ready to get in when I rolled my window down and said "Hey, nice wheels you got on your Cavalier!" and gave him a thumbs up, but he gave me a weird look like he despised me or something and proceeded to get into his car. I was like "WTF?! All I did was gave him a complement." So then I'm staring at him like "Dude, you need to chill out" and then he starts the car and what do I hear...A deep throaty V8 rumble that could not have been mistaken for anything other than an LS1...that's when I realized it was an 04 GTO. Gosh...I sure felt stupid after that, especially when he reved at me while pulling out of the parking space!

burrrrrn lol

now, imagine that at the stoplight. you roll up to a "cavalier" only unbeknownst to you, its got a 400hp LS2 (ill use the 05 for my ex) under the hood

imagine the look one some poor blokes face when he gets destroyed off the line.

of course, this is all stock for stock, add a modded GT, and who knows?!

but then, just to be fair, add a modded GTO

i dunno why, but everyone seems to mistakte the GTO for other cars, i've always been able to see em on the spot, like on the opposite side of the road going the other way, "hey look guys a GTO"

maybe its just me lol. (ps thats another car im considering someday owning, but i need the 05 version with the scooped hood )

Lol. I usually could spot a GTO whenever I see one, especially an 05, you just have to look at the scoops and 6.0L badges. This particular car didn't have the 05 hood, just the plain 04, but it was missing the stock spoiler and had a different front end. I'm thinking the guy probably added the new appearance package from the 05 option to his car sans the spoiler. Plus I didn't even get a close look at the badges. The car from yesterday was not bone stock at all, it was especially noticeable when he hit WOT as he left the shopping center...I guess I might have pissed him off! HAHA!

From what I remember reading in a few articles...the GTO couldn't meet the new requirements for safety and crash laws in Canada, but I also remember reading an article about the Holden plant being at maximum capacity and that the GTO model was a US venture-only and that to produce cars for the Canadian market, they would have to produce beyond the allotted number of vehicles for the US market, which would have costed GM more money. I don't really agree with the last statement, but the first one makes more sense.
