I have some really good news today, I have been offered a job in Carol Stream working for MV Transportation and have accepted it. The vehicles I will be working on are Ford E350/450 Pace buses with wheelchair lifts, all newer 2008-2010's. The pay is pretty good, about the same as I was getting with First Student, and it seems like the newer buses will be much easier to work with. It might still be a few days or so before I start there, but things are looking up.

BTW....is anyone going to make it up to Detroit for Mustang Alley at the Woodward Dream Cruise this year? I had asked somewhere else on the boards, but didn't hear much. It's a pretty awesome weekend and was curious if anyone else from TMS was going to make it this year.

I can take some but how are you going to pick it up from NV? it's like 300 lbs disassembled and will cost more to ship than i'd want to sell it for.

What weekend is it this year? Karen and I have been at the cruise 4 times over the years and it would make an awesome place for the Midwestern's to do a meet and greet!!!! I know it's in August most likely the 3rd week.

The Mustang Alley events actually will span three days this year...August 19, 20, and 21. The larger Dream Cruise event is on Saturday the 21st, and registration is currently open for the Mustang Alley location. The Woodward Dream Cruise goes along Woodward Ave and has all kinds of cars from every manufacturer. Mustang Alley is a portion of the Dream Cruise on 9 Mile Rd in Ferndale, MI. This is where all the Mustangs and Mustang related activities are. Last year, there were over 500 Mustangs. The events on the 19th and 20th are specific Mustang events, that require a separate registration from the Dream Cruise event, but are very cool events as well. Registration for the 19th and 20th events will fill up fast though, so if you're interested in attending those, you'll want to keep an eye on the site for when registration opens.

As a reference, here are some pictures from last year...

Nice! I think the company I work for may own those vehicles, assuming Pace leases them. I know we do on all their E350's and below. You shop just may be calling me for repair authorizations, lol.

Congrats on the new job.

Crappe week here. Lost my phone line last Friday, then lost power Saterday as the phone repair crew backed into a power pole and snapped it at the base. Lost my phone line again Wednesday along with the DSL. Called my Sister who's has 4 sons , 2 of which work as repair men at AT&T. Fixed my line again yesterday while the wife and I were out shopping. On the way home a major storm hit with rain and 100 mph striaght line winds. No power again and trees down all over. Got my generator out this morning and fire it up to keep the freezer going. I when out this morning to get more gas and they were almost fighting to get the last bags of Ice. McD's had a line out to the hi-way. They are talking about Monday for all the power to back on.

Nick how much for the Hoist??

Oh man, I can just imagine how crazy things are just trying to get ice to keep stuff cold with, and going the entire weekend without power sucks. I didn't have any trouble here, everything is on, but a friend in Schaumburg where I lived as a kid said he lost power there for most of the night, it came back on around 3am.

I feel for you Darrell. Hope everything gets fixed up quickly. Big storms thru here earlier in the week. You guys probably heard about the "touchdown Jesus" getting hit by lightning and burning to the ground earlier this week in Monroe Ohio. That is about 40 miles south of me. Hey Darrell I was up your way yesterday. I was in Angola In. I know that's east of your maybe 1 hour?
