Not bad, but they look expensive to me. What's the price on those?

I don't know the exact price. I was told by a customer at Texas Motors that they wanted $1800 plus the old wheels&tirebut, Discount Tire only wanted $1300 w/out trade. That's for wheels and tires together. I didn't see them on Discounts website but Motegi lists them as a dealer.

If you wanted to trade in your tires then they should give you at least $400 for them, so your final cost would be around $900? Not too bad.....

Yea it would be a great deal if I had the money right now but, I don't. Hopefully I can do it later this year. Unless the fanblade wheels are cheaper, I think I will get these Motegi's someday.

Yeah, those Fan Blades are pretty nice. Maybe Ford will offer them to recent buyers for a good price!

Me, I think I'll go for a set of those American Racing Estrella Wheels with some BFG KDWS's in 255/50/R17. That will be an inch and a half wider per tire then the stock tires!

I think that setup would look pretty good on your car. Will it affect your speedometer or is it the same circumference?

It's the same circumference, but it's 1 1/2 inches wider! Should really improve the handling!

Here's a Tire calculator. It's pretty handy to have.....

Tire Size Calculator

And a link to the BFG KDWS Web page in case you guys are interested.......

Ya...the stocks are 235/55/17 which is a 27.1" diameter
The 255/50/17 is a 27.0" diameter.

I'm thinking about getting some of those Mach 1 wheels. They don't have the correct backspacing though. The backspacing on the 05 is 5.295, but these have 5.72 backspacing. Does that mean that they will stick out the back a half inch?

There's some posts where other guys put them on their 05 Mustang and they looked good.

Mach 1 Wheel web page

What do you guys think?

Looks cool! If you look, the rims do look like they stick out a bit.

I'm not an expert on rims, though.

Yeah, a co-worker pointed out that maybe I might have a problem later on with inspections since the wheels stick out?

I hadn't thought of that! Errr! :bang:

I think they look cool. Swingle007 has them on his GT and they look good. Will it be different on a V6? Backspacing and offset wise? I don't know why it would matter on an inspection but, they do have some goofy rules. You can check it out at an inspection facility. Maybe they could answer that one. I had a friend whose truck failed inspection because he had a decal across the top of his windshield. No sense at all.

Forgot to mention this earlier. JC Penney's has Mustang T-shirts on sale for $12.99 this week in the novelty shirt section by sporting goods. They have a red 2005 GT on navy blue, white ringer type T-shirt w/tri-bar and pony and a black shirt w/a red Boss 302 on it.

I think they look nice too, I just wish the offset was the exact match for the 05 Mustang. They do look good on Swingle007's GT though. Maybe I should just go for it? They only cost about $125 per, so that's not bad either.....

I could with the Fusion from American Racing, but I'm not into the Crome look so much, plus chrome is usually expensive......

Hey Tread! I like your gallery. Where's that at...Lake Worth?

I'm really liking the tint, too. I'll definately have copy you on that.

Yeah, that's a nice pic Thread!

I called Five Star Ford today and my car is supposed to be only a week or two away!

He did say that they have run through most of their allocations for this year, and are no longer taking the X-plan on 05 Mustangs! But, Tex and I just made the dead line for it!

Man, it's getting to be hard to find a 05 Mustang anymore!

Hadn't gone shirt shopping yet.

Ya...I was informed about the allocation/X-Plan as well. True or not, as long as I'm locked in, I'm happy. He told me about your car as well, Falchion. Congrats!

Well, I placed a order for some wheels today. I spent about an hour down at Discount Tire and finally ordered the American Racing Casino Wheels in polished.

We had a problem finding some that would fit the new 05 Mustang. The guy at Discount called around to a lot of places and everybody has had problems finding ones that will fit the Mustang the new Mustang. Like those AR Fusion ones don't fit even though American Racing's web site says that they should. :bang:

Anyways, these WILL fit, so I'm happy about that.
