I guess it's a pet peave of mine when I buy somthing over the net I expect it to be shipped out most ricky tick or I tend to think that I got hosed.

Well... I call tomorow. I kinda like things to be shipped on time too. I was planning on installing them this weekend....

For the three of us interested in H pipes I suggest we go with Jeffs recommendation and wait a week to see what Ninosport comes out with and if nothing then go with the Pypes.....do we have a plan ??

Well I wont completely "blackball" the guy but you can sure tell the difference between an established company and one just getting started. Like I said if I'd gone with brenspeed they would have shipped out on Fri. last week as soon as they had received payment. As for Presidents day I guess if he's using the USPS then it makes sense but I think he said he was using UPS which I don't believe is affected by the holiday, and if thats the case then its just poor business.

I have decided to blackball the coral! there are plenty of shipwrecks that can be a great home to the fishies therefore I must boycott the coral

Again, PA got hit with one hell of a snow storm. Everyone up there had problems. Brenspeed was even shut down for a day or so from what I heard.

Ok... you asked... So... get my soapbox out.
Rates vary greatly. Depends on the species and depth. Generally speaking however, a long time. For example... A common brain coral will take anywhere from 20-30 years to grow 3 ft in wide.
That's why when you see bleached coral (Dead Coral) its not a good thing. Bleached coral is a direct result of the water heating up so quickly that the coral can't adjust or caused by chemical posioning. Just few degree shift can kill coral and other delicate marine life. I have seen more and more of it and talked to local islanders that have seen the same thing.
In some parts of the world, entire reefs are being destroyed. 1000's of years of growth... When a reef dies, so do many ecosystems, and so on so forth...
Basically, it's not a question of how long it takes to grow; it's keeping alive what's out there.
I know it's hard to think about living here in the dust bowl but, Oceans give life guys... with out them, we become worm food. Until the worms die too...
