See thats where I don't understand. Why are people saying that FRPP is the same in some instances as the Motive?

Well dropping off for a while. Gotta run to the parts store and get some stuff to get the Lightning ready to sell. Momma wants her Edge.

The only thing that may still need purchased that's not on the list is the friction modifier additive. But some of the performance gear oils have it already added in. I'll check and see.

75W90Our most popular gear oil, this is the preferred product in nearly all car and light truck differentials, both conventional and limited-slip. 75W90 is preferred for most racing applications. It contains friction modifier which is recommended for limited-slip units. 75W90 Gear Oil can be used in many transmissions and transaxles; however, other Red Line lubricants have better frictional properties for rapid synchronization. Exceeds API GL-5.

Ok does have friction modifier mixed in.

The gear thing is simple. FRPP contracts out to 2-3 companies to make the gears. Motive is one company they contract. You don't want the Motive FRPPs. The only way to know is to talk to who you are ordering from. The part numbers are the same EXCEPT for one letter which will denote who makes them. Motives are typically cheaper than the other FRPP gears too.

Paul The pipes require either MIL eliminators or reworked tune. Since the part is coming from Brenspeed the tune rework is no charge for existing brenspeed tune users. The MIL eliminators are like 60-65 dollars I think. Bob may need to go this route unless he gets his tunes redone by bama. My guess is it will be cheaper to get the MIL eliminators.

Just loaded the software onto the computer and next week Doug will tweak everything and email me the changes, no cost....I can turn the CO 2 sensors off now with the tuner, may also get the MIL eliminators...if I need to take it into service then I can flip it to the factory tune and the MILs will keep everything from blinking.

Is anybody else going with David and his oil that he will put in the rear end ? May be the way to go.

Jeff, before you leave please let us know the mechanics name and his phone #

Jeff did Benji (not sure if this is the right name) say if he needed all the extras for the gear install? Also what day(s) / time(s) is he available for install?
