BMW M3s have the same problem maybe there are some new ideas for solutions at the M3 forum thread?

 

Just saw this thread and I have to say this made me so angry b/c I told the guy who installed mine they need to put some soft stuff (I forget the name of it right now), and he told me "Don't worry about it scratches on the tint only happen b/c people who improperly install it..." So going against my better judgment, I went ahead and let him do it w/out installing it and guess what????

A couple of weeks later gets what starts to appear? SCRATCHES.... I will never make that mistake again.

 

MOLESKIN http://www.tintprotector.com/index.htm I used it on my 06 when I had tint installed. Just remove the door panels, install this felt strip on the inside rubber and walla..There you have it.
