During a hypothetical discussion about '05 Mustang colors last fall, my wife stated matter-of-factly that she would not want white, black, or red, that the lime green and screaming yellow colors would grow old after a few years, and the sonic blue was too close to the color of my 1992 Dodge Daytona IROC. That left winveil blue and mineral grey. While I always wanted to get her a blue Mustang, she chose the mineral grey. I have to say, that now that we have the car, mineral grey was the right choice. See attachment.

Hehe ya, i was in FL in November in the Ft. Lauderdale area...was so random and out of nowhere...this was even before I planned to sell my last car and order the Mustang. I always liked/wanted it in white but that car was like a shining beacon

Ya GottaHaveIt, they don't have spoiler delete in Canada. Not on the order guide, and it's just not possible. My dealer principal called Ford's head office here and even though he's well connected, he couldn't get it done. I sent a message to ford's customer line and they basically said "thanks for the email but there's nothing we can do". frustrating knowing that it's a free and painless option for them to do.

The pic was taken at my parent's place where I was hiding the wife's pony. Missing from the photo are my wife's 1995 Explorer XLT, my brother Kyle's 2001 Explorer XLT, and my brother Kris' 2002 Explorer Sportrac. My father, like his, has purchased either Ford or Mercury his entire life with only one exception: a 1998 Dodge Stratus for my Mother. I have been a Dodge guy since 1987, but have been turned off by their styling lately. Have you seen the new Charger? Yuck! My wife and I have both had Mustangs in the past, both fox bodies, mine a 1980 LX coupe and her's a 1988 LX coupe. It is good to have a pony in the family again!

I absolutely love Legend Lime. Although I am very enthusiastic about my choice, I don’t feel it’s necessary to trash anyone else’s choice of colors.

I may have been persuaded to choose Legend Lime by a couple of factors:
A. The 1971 Plymouth GTX I restored years ago,
B. My cat’s eye color, (she’d like to think so)
C. It’s an uncommon color,
D. I’ve had so many blue cars in recent years, or
E. It’s easy to spot in a parking lot

Now that you’ve made your choice, what inspired you to choose YOUR color?
My color chose ME. After trying 3 different dealers, I went to the last one and there she was, sitting on the display platform, my beautiful 2005 Black Mustang GT, just waiting for me to claim her. =)

I said this before, but since you asked...

I originally wanted a white GT, then I asked a friend of mine at work who owns a black C6 Corvette. "Girls drive white Mustang's. Black is a pain to keep clean, but you are allowed to carry a wallet that says Bad Mother &*#%er."

I don't dislike any of the Mustang colors, but only a few were at the top of my list. Mineral Grey is very nice. Black is always awesone on pretty much any car. But Legend Lime was my hands down number one choice from the start. I like it for the same reason most of the other LL owners have stated. It's different, stays clean looking, and it's very retro. Photos do not do this color justice, you gotta see it in person!

When first looking at the '05s last fall, I was interested in the torch red or mineral grey. After some searching, I found a sonic blue GT equipped the way I wanted at a good price. Although not sure if I'd really like the color, I bought it sight-unseen and had it delivered to a local dealer. I picked the car up on a beautiful sunny Florida winter day and the sonic blue just glowed. It was love at first sight!

Dealer said "it's on the truck now coming in from Michigan and you can have it for MSRP if you give me a deposit today".

I said "what color is it?"

Dealer said "black".

I said "then I choose black".
I knew I wasn't the only one who chose their color that way....

8:00pm...
*ring, ring*

Dealer: "Woltz and Wind Ford"
Me: "Ford's site says you have a GT, is this true?"
Dealer: "yes"
Me: "What color is it?"
Dealer: "Torch Red"
Me: "Great! My new favorite color! What time do you close?"
Dealer: "9:00"
Me: "Don't leave, I'll be there in 45 minutes."

The rest is history!

Yellow - I wanted yellow because it is very unique. If you go to any parking lot in the nation ans squint, all the cars colors blend together. Yellow pops out at you. I wanted to be notice.

I've had vehicles that were black, white, and blue. Thought the redfire and torch red looked very sharp as well as something different for me and after much inner debate went with redfire. Every time someone posts a different color I think that really looks nice, but when I look in the garage I have no regrets.
