Well, I was alittle disappointed when my dealer talked me into ordering & extending my Ford buy back deal. Only because I was all set for a 04 Dark Shadow Grey & I really wanted to get rid of my 03 True Blue Lemon. And then there he was talking me into ording an 05 & I hadn't even looked at more than the concept pictures. So the 1st thing I did was get on autos.yahoo that day & look at the color choices. That's when I noticed Mineral Grey was avaible again & that was it. I had to have it. That's also the day I found this site. (Thanks Brad)

Anyway. My color choices are (in order):

MG~ I had an 02 that color & olny had it a year & 3 months when a yahoo on my side of the road hit me head on & totalled it. So MG is defiently my 1st. (although before the 02 it was 2nd to Silver)

WB ~ I only recently saw that color on the 05 (don't like it on the Turas) & it was beautiful. (Before seeing it Silver was my 2nd choice)

SSilver ~ It started in 01 & 02 as my 1st choice. In fact we were at the dealership to sign papers on a 01 programmed Silver but the deal fell through at the last minute. Well I finally got the new 02 MG & Silver was knocked to 2nd choice. But after seeing WB on the 05's a few weeks ago it got bumped again to 3rd. And 3rd is where it remains.

Sonic Blue ~ If I were buying off the lot & couldn't find one in anyother color then I would take it. Although the entire time I drove it I would be thinking of the other color I could have been driving (that's what happened with my 03 True Blue)

Now for the colors I won't even concider

Redfire or Torch Red ~ I HATE Red of ANY shade. The last 3 cars my mom owned were red (till she got her Arizona Beige Ranger). The 1st car I can remember her driving (back in the 80's)was a Black tThunderbird with Red cloth interior. And through the years my family has owned a variety of Red cars.........So, needless to say I am SICK of the color Red. (Not knocking anyones car, if you like it fine, but not for me)

Black ~ I have been to the dark side with my 96 & swore never to go back.

White ~ Too blah, Also I figure if Black is that hard to keep clean then White would be just as bad.

Yellow ~ I have always said "I do not want to drive a banana" And also it reminds me too much of a shcool bus. It is a pretty color on the Stang but it's just not for me.

LL ~ Not really my thing. When shopping for cars in 01 & 02 I would always tell dealers (in order) Silver, MG, & Blue & Green tie for 3rd. But I really don't know if I could stand driving a green car. Although the LL would make it more bariable being as it is softer green. I really can't say till I see it in person.

Anyway, Those are just my opinions. Again, not flaming anyones color choices. Whatever you want to drive is great, as long as you love it.

Alot of things inspired me to get a perf. white Mustang.
The first was seeing a 55 white T-bird when I was kid and wishing my dad would trade his 55 white Merc. Monclair for one. Then in the 60's came the Mustang and all those white GT350. But it's all up to your own taste! All mustangs look good in all colors.
Happy Trails!!!

Choosing a color was a tough call. I went back and forth for months between MG and WB. I guess I'm getting a little conservative in my old age and wanted something a little more subtle. I'm definitely happy with my choice, although this car looks great in any color!!

I agree White is just way too bland!

White is good! I didn't go white cause I already have a white car.
Plus you never know its dirty till you wash it. Easy to keep.

My husband and I have a Red Fire GT vert. My favorite color is red. Bright red, the power color. My husband loves marroon or wine red. All through our home you will find these colors. Inside as well as out side. We went to see the cars when they first came out at this little dealer in Dallastown Pa. They had Sonic Blue, Winvale Blue, Legend Lime and Torch Red. I loved the lime but my husband said it looked retro and said no. When I saw the Blues I thought they were cool too. But nothing was rite. We decided to order The Red Fire. I am glad we did. In certain light it looks Bright Red and other light looks Marroon. Makes us both happy.

Great car!!! I saw her in the beginning of this tred. I had a boyfriend in the 70's who had one just liked yours. I have loved the Mustang ever since. Well until they changes them in the late 70's and 80's. The new car rocks for sure. We love ours, but it will never be as good as the old cars. That is for sure. Mustangs m y favorite car of all times. Great choice!!!!

Satin-Silver My first new car in 1972 a Gand Torino Sport Sportroof was Pewter with a Black Vinyl Roof and a Black Interior with high buckets.

Some things never change.

We have owned 8 other vehicles in a shade of grey or silver. Also honey gold, turquoise, black, champagne, shades of reds, various whites, and burgundy.

Today we like the reds, but they are a cop magnet for us. I like the Sonic Blue. But we figured we could do more accents with silver.

The Titanium-Silver 04 Auto Show would have been our first choice.

Currently we have a Pewter/black, Crystal White/black, Magenta Red/medium graphite, and Satin-Silver/charcoal.

Good thinking, Bruce. Those neutral-colored cars such as Silver, White and Black make great canvases. You have more alternatives for stripes, decals, etc. My Legend Lime kinda limits my choices, but I'm going to go au naturale for a while anyway...

I went to the dealership with the full intention of ordering the Red Fire, which is what I test drove. Then I went inside the dealership and there was a Torch Red, Red Leather, IUP's, Bullit Rims .... sitting on the showroom floor. My jaw dropped and I had to get the Torch Red. Gorgeous

I've never owned a black car (for more than a weekend, long story)... had a white Wrangler, silver Wrangler and currently have a red Wrangler & blue Saturn. I figure I will not repeat a color until I've had a car in ever color...

Side note -not being a fan of green, I'm glad my wife is getting her Mustang in green so that I can skip that color

Had to get black, I wanted ICAP and my other favorite 05 color, Sonic Blue doesn't come with it. Black is beautiful and the best looking when clean. Since this is not my daily driver, its OK!

==Had I waited a year, I would have a white car because of the new blue leather interior package that is coming out. White car, blue interior, and blue stripes would look sweet, especially on a vert! ==

Actually Motor Trend did a Photoshop job on the '06. They changed the interior color to blue because they thought it would look cool. Lots of people saw that spread and thought it was going to be a new color option for '06, but it's not. The pics are shown here:

http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/timeline/05/06/

Who knows, if enough people get interested maybe Motor Trend's dinking around in Photoshop will result in a new '07 option.

I knew it was Red, My first Mustang was Red.(also my first car) Just a matter of deciding between Redfire or Torch. Thought it was Redfire, I waited till I had seen both colors actually on the cars till I made my decision. Liked them both but, Redfire has a richness and depth to it. Simply Beutiful. If I were definatly going to get stripes, I probably would have picked Torch W/white I know real original.

I really wanted a dark grey. Dark Shadow Grey would have been nice. I fell in love with the tungsten at the auto show. I thought about getting Mineral Grey till I saw how much brown was in it (and I really wanted the light graphite interior which wasn't available). I was planning to wait till '06 and get the tungsten, but then I went and test drove one and decided I couldn't wait a year. So Satin Silver it is.
