Put the offending TPMS sensors in the pipe, drilled a hole in one of the caps and installed the valve stem. Pressurized the pipe bomb looking contraption up to 35PSI and the TPMS light has been gone ever since. Total cost $16.00.

Here's a picture of the fix, that is placed under the rear decklid, and out of sight (Not very appealing) I got this idea from another forum and this is my first post here.

Everyone that has done this does it still work, I am going to get new wheels soon and need to figure out what I am going to do.

I dont understand the big deal, I actually like this feature. It's one less thing to worry about. Coming from someone that drives a lot weekly, 350+ miles on 2 trips every week, it helps, because you dont always have time to check everything. I havent even had the time to wash the vehicle that Im driving rght now in like 4 weeks.

I already did change wheels. I just had them transfer over the sensors.......

I am going to be running two sets of wheels, chrome in the summer and factory in the winter because they use alot of salt in this area and I can't keep changing the wheel sensors every year.

wheels & tires

So if you go from 17 to 18 ford wheels 07 or 08 will you have to have it progammed or will it reset just by driving it??

As long as you can keep the orginal sensors that should work. But if you change or get another set you will have to go to the dealer and them woke up.

Or a tire shop that has the tool. I think most by now do.

Yes they have the orginal sensors,ford on each set 17 & 18 so i will have to go to the dealer.I was just thinking that they were fords sensors that the car will set it up with out going to the dealer.

Ford has a tool that has to set the sensors when you change the wheels. I don't think you can set 8 sensors but if you could that's what I would do.
