Werd, as of about 8:00 am EST I can confirm your observations on the charger both from a roll and a stop and both times the race was over before I hit 3rd.

As for LS2 GTOs, me and some buddies rented Buds Creek and the GTOs were down right impressive, my car was doing high to mid 13s and they were consistantly doing mid to low 13s.

at about 4:00 pm today I ran into one of those lime green chargers, it had some modded exhaust and the guy saw me in the rear view mirror and bolted through the turn onto the main road with me giving chase, I couldn't line up even with him and the traffic was to heavy anyways, but my gut feeling was this would have come down to a drivers race had we been able to line up, his car sounded mean though and it pulled pretty good.

Man, I wanted to add another notch in my belt, but the stars and traffic just weren't in alignment

Ok guys, I had a chance at a nice run with an LS2 Goat late last night on the fwy. He spotted me and started riding my *** bad. I mean, he was so close I couldn't see his headlights. I found this irritating and decided I would blow the cobwebs off my Whipple. I'm sure he was thinking, "lemme smoke this Pony". Anyhow, we were stuck in a "wolfpack" on the fwy waiting for an opening to let 'em loose. I moved over to the next lane to give him a chance to line up. Finally, our respective lanes cleared up and we both dropped the hammer. I started pulling on him right away and once I got several car lengths on him I shut it down. To my surprise, I looked in my rearview mirror to see him pulling off the the next fwy offramp. So much for only ricers doing that. Still, I must say that LS2 pulls strong! Too bad the GTO's styling is so **** bland.

They have what is called a "skip shift" on the manuals if that is what you mean. Under light throttle, the computer locks you out of 2nd and 3rd gear and forces you to go 1-4. At least that is how it was on my buddies 04 GTO. Annoying as heck.

I'll have to ask my friend if his car has that. I know his old TA used to do it. All I can say is that would drive me nuts. Half the fun of getting a stick is shifting the dang thing.
