Don't know if this is related to the law suit or not but it's not good. Here is the e-mail I just received:
We have run into an significant issue with the availability of the Interior Upgrade Package.
As a result, there will be NO Mustangs, including Mustang GTs, scheduled for the remainder of January with the Interior Upgrade Package (18G).
Key Points to Remember
The only way to order a GT during week 50 is with the Interior Sport Appearance Package (18R)!!
Dealers will need to place new orders for GTs with the ISAP (18R) or change their existing orders.
For week 1, dealers will be allowed to order GTs with or without the 18R package (but not the 18G).
A control on V6s will be put in place today to ensure that Deealers do not receive 100% V6s for January.
An OS Note will be sent later today with the control percentage by Region.
Required Field Actions - BY COB Thursday, December 16
For week 50, advise all dealers to either:
Remove the 18G package from unscheduled GT orders and add the 18R package OR place new Mustang GT orders with the 18R package
Remove the 18G package from unscheduled V6 orders OR place a new V6 order without the 18G package.
For week 01, advise all dealers to either:
Remove the 18G package from unscheduled GT orders and we would recommend that they add the 18R package.
We will schedule GTs with Base interiors. By preventing GTs with base interiors from being scheduled in week 50, we will ensure dealers have the opportunity to change their orders.
Place new Mustang GT orders without the 18G package. While we would encourage them to order the 18R package, it is not required.
Remove the 18G package from unscheduled V6 orders OR place a new V6 order without the 18G package.
Field Operations Actions
Place the 18G Interior Upgrade package on hold for the remainder of January production. - beginning tonight
For week 50 only, we will COS out all GT without either the 18G or 18R (Interior Sport Appearance Package) to ensure dealers have the opportunity to add the 18G package, if they so desire.
For week 1, we will allow GTs to be scheduled without the 18G or 18R package.
A control will be placed on V6 for the remainder of January. This should prevent dealers from receiving 100% of their allocation as V6s. Regions will be responsible for monitoring this situation.
Scheduling will be held open until Wednesday, December 22, for week 50.
We apologize for the inconvenience this caused and appreciate your timely response to this matter. We expect availability to improve in February and will communicate more information about February, as it becomes available

Ouch!!! My IUP equiped GT is turning into a collectible! That fricken stinks for people who want it but can't get it. Looks like the aftermarket IUP version will be a hot seller now. Too bad they don't offer stock

Does anyone know if the dealers have to remove the 18G from the order? Can my unscheduled order be left as is and I then just wait until Feb when Ford expects/hopes the avail will be there again and I can then still get the original IUP with Mycolor? I don't mind waiting..
EDIT: Thanks Karpro.. (dealers can leave as is just Ford won't schedule it). I'm going to leave my order alone, let it ride and reassess in Feb.

This only refers to orders not already scheduled right? I have a schedule week of 1/3-1/10 on a V6, so what does that say about me?

Wow, well hopefully my car is really being built today (that is what my dealer told me last week that it was scheduled to be built 12/15) I will have an ultra rare V6, Manual with IUP and exterior sport package then.
Cool.
I wonder if they were served with a temporary injunction on production of the IUP option because of the lawsuit......

I don't think so, I just googled "weyer mycolor" and only the original lawsuit information comes up. Surely if a temporary injunction occurred, it would be on the web somewhere or posted here.
Maybe Ford doesn't have enough supply to keep up with the demand.

This could be maybe because of Christmas plant shutdowns? If Delphi has a similar shutdown as Ford, then the inevitable delay of building MyColors would probably push it out to end of January. 2 weeks of Delphi shutdown plus two weeks of Ford shutdown...so 4 week delay of MyColor (Delphi's time to ramp back up, then the "normal" Ford build time and their behind schedule time, too).
