Foolish for paying MSRP??? I wouldnt say that. You would be foolish to pay more than MSRP. If you can get less than MSRP then go for it, but don't go any higher. Towards the spring this car is going to be everywhere, it is not a limited production car (no need for the markup $$$$).

I am paying MSRP as well. Probably could have saved a little money elsewhere but I don't mind paying MSRP for this car. It's just because of the initial hype that not much dealing is being done.

Thanks folks! Doh! I just feel like I never bought a car before, I want this so bad. The last dealer I spoke with would order it at MSRP BUT it would come with "Propack" = 7 yr. warranty on paint , interior & undercoating. an additional $549.00 & "Lojack" = $695.00 which added an additional $1,244 to the price. AND, get this, he wouldn't give me the choice to order it without that. He said they're all coming with it automatically in '06. This was over the phone so he won't be hearing from or seeing me again. I see my 1st choice dealer Friday who after reinterating over the MSRP, they're still going with it. If the financing's approved & I can afford the monthly statements I'll place my order. I don't want to count my chickens yet, but after seeing him I checked out 3 other dealers to see if he was jerking me around. So far he was the only one who wasn't.

Man that propack and lojack charge is a bunch of BS. The car is not coming from the factory like that. Those are items that the dealer install. I'd walk away from that dealer and find somone who isnt going to pull that crap.

Just visited the Scion dealership here, they had only 4 scions on the lot, and to get one in the options you would like would take about a month...yet they were still selling at sticker(MSRP).

I imagine a similiar situation in early October at Ford dealerships...
umm. i am sorry to break this to you. The way scions work is no haggling and they should technically take no more than 10-12 days to get from ordering. The dealership you went to was smoking gas up ur butt.

My local dealer told me no mustang gt til next year. go figure...
stupid dealers.

Hey guys

Looks like a lot of 500 over inv. deals

Talked to these guys today..Houston area.

Fred @ ffrederickson@teamfordtexas.com

Cochise @ cwillis@teamfordtexas.com

Coolfords
Was this for all 05 Stangs? Do you have to order them and not take them from the lot, if available?

For $500 over Invoice, I may have to jump on that! and get the memebership to AQHA for another $500 off.[/b][/quote]
what is AQHA 500$ off?
please advise.
PM me

thasnk!

Does anyone know if you can combine X-Plan and rebate Ford offers? I am thinking about waiting till summer of 06, but only if this is possible. Thanks for any help..

Depends on your dealers current allocation vs. already sold oreder bank. We currently are looking at around a late december early january timeframe on orders placed now (assuming no comodity issue delays). It will vary from dealer to dealer.

X-plan is compatible with the general public rebates and special rates. It is not compatible with special private offers, college grad, aqha, commercial upfit, etc...

Ordered my Gt today and was also told to expect mid Feburary delivery. The sales manager saw my face when he said that, then he came back with maybe sooner, but you've got Thanksgiving and the Christmas shutdowns in there and posibably some delay.

After searching many dealers who wouldn't take less than msrp, I finally got a good offer. I got invoice +$500, and was told they will take the aqha incentive of $500 which takes me back to invoice. He also said I will get any other offers from Ford (rebates) that may in effect at the time of delivery. So at least that's something good about having to wait 3+ more months.

Just wanted to add a dealership to avoid to the list. Hub City Ford in Crestview, Florida. Saw a Sonic Blue Mustang GT that caught my interest, they actually had 9 in their inventory from fordvehicles.com. The Sonic Blue was still en route, they had sold the other 8 already, they are selling them all at $3,000 over sticker, thats just plain wrong, I can understanding jacking the price just to keep it on lot, but gouging customers is not right.

Hey all,

My first post, hopefully it'll be helpful to some of you....

I stopped by the local Ford Dealership in my area to check out the Mustang GT...McCafferty Ford in Langhorne, Pa....

I got to talking to the salesman and he flat out told me they are not negotiating with customers over the new Mustang. You pay the sticker price or you don't buy it.

The only '05 Mustang that they had on the lot was a Blue GT with lojack already added, Shaker 1000 and did have the spoiler....$29,500+ (sorry, I didn't write down the exact price)

When I told him that I went through AAA and got a price from C & C Ford for invoice ($25,565), he said "Well, I guess you better go talk to them....but they won't give it to you for that price."

Nice sales tactics, huh?
