I ordered V6 deluxe 12/5/04

Champion White

Dark Charcoal interior

with IUP, exterior sport package (blk), manual 5 spd and standard 16"s, with anti theft alarm

$20,410

Did not even mention X-plan or AAA discount yet as I already have a priority 10 from the dealer on my order.

Should I tell the dealer I have the discounts or wait till I have the vin then start to grind a little on price.

At this point I am thinking if I get a good eta on my stang I should just take the $20,410 and not worry about the dealer high balling my car to someone else when it comes in. Although I left a deposit and have the order sheet that shows my price.

what do you guys think ?

i would definetley talk about price like TOMORROW. That's the first thing that should be discussed. They will try to tell you that V6's are hard to find or somethin, but there are MANY dealerships that will charge $500 over invoice.

Where are you located?
I can list a few if it's in texas or oklahoma

edit: Actually my dealer is willing to drop ship your order to a dealer near you. He is located in houston, and gives $500 over invoice to members of themustangsource.com and is more than willing to accept AQHA with it.

need his name and contact info, let me know

Finally got some good news today!!

I ordered my GT from Leif Johnson here in Austin, Texas about 7 weeks ago. Updates/info have NOT been very forthcoming :bang: . I feel lucky to get it at MSRP. What very few I've seen around here look like they have $1500-$2000 added to MSRP. Looks like I'll get the dealership to spring for a free (illegal due to the darkness I want) window tint and good financing. I don't care, I just want it here!!

Today the told me mine is COMPLETE!!
With IUP, rear spoiler and everything.

Now I have to wait for the transport time. Anyone have an idea how long that may take from Dearborn to Austin?!? They said as early as pre-Christmas (just trying to get my hopes up I sure) or mid January at the latest. :notnice:

Look fwd to sharing some pics soon!

i'm wanting to order an GT this spring. I went to MEL HAMBELTON FORD Christmas afternoon to check out their LL GT. It had a great price on it!
Next to the actual sticker price was a little ink-jet-printout-sticker saying that they were adding $7,500 to the MSRP for "market adjustment rate"
that pushed the final price to a low, low $34,xxx

anybody know or have experience with an honest dealer in the Wichita, KS area??

Funny how dealerships are slowy starting to change their tune. I've noticed that their insulting "market adjustment" (a.k.a. taking advantage of their customer) is beginning to get lower. Dealers in the Richmond, Virginia area have been charging between $2-4K higher than the sticker price. One dealer even said to me that they weren't going to put a surcharge on the GT until they saw another dealer do it, and the other dealer more or less convinced them it was a sound business practice. Where I'm from, that's called price fixing, and I think it's illegal.

There is an ad in the car section of the Boston Globe today for Quirk Ford in Quincy, MA. They are advertising a 2005 Mustang Premium at $2000 off of MSRP. It says:

Original list $21,390
Quirk Disc. -2,000
your price 19,390

Isn't that below invoice for a V6 Premium? Ford dealer search website says invoice is $19,939. Seems like a good deal.

Bought my 2005 GT Premium for $26,900 including fees (not taxes). sticker is $28,100.
Don Bohn Ford in New Orleans (lapalco).

put down 7k and financed the ballance with the 3.9 % promotion at Ford Credit

Options:
Shaker 1000
Active anti-theft
Wheel Locks
upgraded wheels

Black with dark charcoal leather

did not get the IUP - not a fan of plastic silver on dash, but I would like to get the upgraded instruemnt cluster with my color and extra gauges. oh well. Also would have wanted the side airbags and mineral grey paint, but this car was on the lot and got caught up and bought it instead of ordering one. I am very happy. I am duying to get on the road with it but my insurance co. does not open till monday and I dont want to risk it.

Did I get a good deal? no plan, just walked in and bought it like a regular Joe. I plan on trading it for a cobra in 06/07 anyway. Anyone know if they will ever put a sunroof in these? or is that too sissy for a muscle car?[FONT=Arial][SIZE=7][COLOR=#0000FF]

I bought from Brondes on Secor Rd. Received quote of 1% over invoice for being a AAA member (1% is also the internet price apparently). Talk to Andy Shambarger (internet sales manager), he is a heck of a nice guy, and very professional. Went in on a Thursday night and placed my order; they put it in the computer the next day. $500 deposit.

Sonic Blue GT Premium
Dark Charcoal interior
IUP
Active anti-theft
Side-Impact Airbags
Wheel locking kit (he says required, not shipping without due to high rate of wheel theft, I wanted it anyway)

MSRP $27,530 My price: $25,703 With tax, title, etc: $27,200

Jeff Barnes is now my acting salesman. He is also a nice guy. He called me the next day to tell me I was approved for financing, and after I requested a copy of my DORA, he mailed it to me the next day. Very good experience with this dealer.

Can't say the same for the Internet Sales Manager at Brondes in Maumee. The guy was a moron, unprofessional, and disrespectful. He is maybe 21 years old, and has no idea how to treat a customer. He also wanted $1500 deposit, no AAA discount, and tacked on $600+ for undercoating, paint protection, etc. I did get a test drive there though.

1% over for being a AAA member? Is that standard practice for all ford dealers?
