Man I would've s**t my pants if my folks had bought me a new 6cyl Stang for my first car. Be most grateful just to get one! Many people out there would still kill to have just that.

Oh i will definatly be more than happy to get a V6, i'm not some bratty kid that expects the best or has to have the best(in case i came off sounding like that) i'm not, i worked really hard in school to get good grades just so my parents would think i deserved this. i think its normal to want the best, but i think that in any case the mustang is the best on its own so i think whatever i get, as long as its a mustang i'll be more than happy.

That's a good way to look at it. You have some great parents. I have a 13 year old daughter who's already bugging me for my Stang, lol!!

Hey, I have been e mailing my dealer about 2 weeks now and finally got a day off to go in and talk. I told them I would buy at x plan price if they would honor it on the first few GT's they got. I qualify for x plan and they said no problem. They are ordering the car I want with no money down. I didn't want to get locked in waiting for mine to be built and watching everyone else getting theirs so hopefully everything will work out. They said only one other person was interested and they have 3 orders to fill. I am anxiously waiting to see one in person. Redfire Premium 5 speed w/Dark Charcoal

Hi people. I'm hoping somebody can help me here. I was talking to the dealer in my area and was working on ordering a GT. I told him I thought that he had to not only place the order but "buy" the car to ensure that it is built. His response was oh dont' worry it will be built. He said he is only allowed to order 1 Mustang per week??? I ordered it and he said that mine would be his order for this coming week as he had already ordered one for last week. Does this sound accurate? He also said that he is not an allocation dealer or something to that affect and that is why the limited ability to order.

Anyway I ordered the Mineral Grey GT and got the order confirmation and all that and now am just wondering if I should expect an October delivery?

Thanks for any insight...

Just ordered an 05 GT Premium from Sanderson Ford in Glendale Arizona. I'm X-plan eligible and they are honoring it right now. Should see my invoice sometime this week. So far so good, I actually used the Salesperson who posted in the Salesmen Forum Clinton Lemond is his name and he's a Mustang enthusiast.

How about if we pay MSRP, with a free B**B job to tint?

$500 under MSRP. I'm working on a free tint job as well. I'm happy with my price. Not much mark up anyhow.

26032 at John Bleakley Ford west of Atlanta. They're honoring the X-plan price, no deposit required. GT Premium, Auto, IUP, and side airbags. Salesman was Glenn Rainwater. They were great to work with, and Glenn has a car on order for his wife. He knew just about everything about the vehicle.

Dealers in Norfolk/VA Beach area of Virginia are playing the MSRP game. All the one's I talked with today would not budge from MSRP. They were aware that the Mustangs were shipping today. Most are getting the V6's and a few GT 's in limited amounts (in other words.....not a whole lot and mostly V6's). They would let you order it the way you wanted it with a good faith deposit and said it would run 8-10 weeks for delivery. I was told that the prices on the Mustang would go up in January. Don't know if that him blowing smoke. I was told by a salesperson frind of mine that it is not unusual for prices to fluctuate during the model year (GM Salesperson).

The salesman that I dealt with told me that if you are able to get on any of the plans then you would want to do that. He said that the general public prices are going to be MSRP or possibly higher (premium for a hot car) for cars off the lot during the first part of '05.
