Wow! That's almost worse then me....

You had a new starter and it still went out?

Yeah the new starter lasted 4 days. I just got back from getting my replacement one from them. Hopefully this one will last longer.

Was it a brand new starter? It should have lasted a good long time....

It was a remanufactured starter. I replaced it today and it now cranks just fine.

Well took it to Carmax today, should get an appraisal on how much they'd buy it for by next tuesday.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that you're selling it. Best of luck!

Everyone there really liked it, so I'm hoping it will be a good amount. If it is enough, I'm getting a civic

Should have it by Tuesday. Since they don't get cars like mine every day they couldn't do the 30 minute appraisal. So they took picutres and got information from me, and they are going to send all of that to people in the company. That way they can get people that have dealt with these cars and know a good price on it.

Well I'd consider it more of an insult than appraisal. They offered me $4,000!

Just proves that don't know classic Stangs. Someone in the company probably said they would give that if you traded. $8500 is probably more realistic. Unfortunately the 6 hurts it. Continue to work on it and enjoy it. Make you other vehicle that is your daily driver last you through college, then you can afford to build the Stang of your dreams, buy a new car, a house with a garage,...

Well either keep it, or sell it yourself...

Well I'm giving it til March to sell. If it doesn't by then the old I6 is gone and I will be putting an EFI 5.0 in. Also might change the seats or the whole interior so I can get cloth instead of leather, I don't like having a sweaty back during the summer.

That's the spirit!

Restro Mod might be a good thing for your car! I know that the disc brakes and other things that I have done to it really make it drive a lot better.

I just started on my 67 coupe with a six. After I fix everything else(well most everything), I'm going to put in a crate engine. Not sure of the engine size yet.

If I did a couple more mods to the six, I could probably beat a stock 289 if not 302. The thing that slows it down most is the tall 5th gear and I only have 3.00 rear gears.
