We maked it work!!!!
Cammy came over and helped install the bumper, and then we went to Kohlweiss to get the single carb linkage kit. They didn't have one, so I bought a universal throttle cable kit, with steel braided thingies over the cable. I ended up using normal wire to tie the carb to the butterfly assembly, which was good for pulling it open but not for closing it. the steel braided housing helps close it. we also painted the butterflys to match the red on the car better
anyway, here is pichas and a video is on its way

I'm still not sure on the bar and fogs, but the rest of the car looks awesome! Especially the rear!

The car is looking really good, but i still don't like the stock rear bumper. Its way to bulky and doesn't match the smooth theme you have going without the side trim and no stock front bumper.
You really need to figure out a custom made rear.
And for the record i think the bull bar and fogs look awesome. and that carb scoop is just plain sick!

6" steel pipe with welded end caps painted black to match the grille guard.
Or double 3" pipe with welded end caps would be absolutely sick.
Or a box frame welded bumber out of steel diamond plate painted black.

Thought about that Gary, but not sure if it would turn out right. Plus, that would be heavy. At least as heavy as the stock metal inner bumper thingie, and thats bad
Well there's aluminum, but thats expensive and I don't think you could weld that yourself or get it done cheaply. But its certainly not heavy.
How about rummaging junk yards to find a bumber of another vehicle that you can make work with yours for the look you want.

Thanks Chris.
I really hope this helps get people to look at IIs more. Last night I took it to a movie and my friend told me its the most badass car he'd ever been in AND that it was now his favorite mustang of all time
Gary- Junkyards always an option, and I'll be on the lookout, but thats mostly relying on luck. There is still the possibility of getting premade fiberglass II bumpers and shaving them closer to the body and mounting them flush. But that is also prety expensive...
