I would but the car is not isnured right now, and neither am I... on anything.

Don't worry, when I'm back on the road, and if I can find a good deserted patch to lay down my own rubber road to freedom () I just might

There are a few more body mods to do, but not for a while. Rest of the week is spending time with friends before we all head back to school. more updates as they come

I hope you find that road to freedom!!

And are you keeping both Mustangs? I went back a re-read this thread and didn't see any updates on that front (or are updates in another thread?)

I suppose I can finally announce the "news"

So... My parents were ver UNfond of the idea of a motorcycle. While I am still going to get my M license this winter break, I am not allowed to buy one. I'm tied to their insurance plans for the next five years while I'm in college, so I can't insure it on my own. That coupled with the fact that it would not be cost effective to sell two cars we've pumped so much money into already, has dictated that the mustangs stay. I might get to start driving the Bullitt again as early as next year (the real year, not school year) but that's not final yet.

What is final is that the II is going to be nicely "freshened up" in the near future

The motor will be staying pretty much stock, just some reliability fixes to the cooling system. Its got plenty of power for now. I need a new water pump, and a different mechanical fan (the current one is apparently a 2.3L fan...) in addition, my mechanic saays he has an electric fan otu of a latemodel BMW he can stick in there. That'll be a cool conversational piece

The interior won't be perfect but it will be at least usable. I've been itching for new seats and a wood grain steering wheel...

Exterior is the big'n. There will be a few body mods/repairs and a new coat of shiny. I don't know if I'll get new wheels yet, but its a big maybe. Otherwise I'm just going to clean up the tenholes, maybe get them powdercoated. But I plan on keeping the rest of the exterior plans secret until i show them done

There is one other mod that I really want to do, but don't know if I can, and its a locking rear axle. My baby is a one tire frier right now, and in the unlikely event () that this car ever gets up to Infineon Raceway, I'd like her to catch traction.

Broomsticks are for the weak. Its actually the wooden bar you have in a closet to hang stuff on. its about 2.5 times the diameter of a broomstick

Haven't you noticed? It's just one of the many upgrades performed on this car

oh snap! just saw the video clip... looking good and sounding better. if you have the room, electric fan would be better IMO. trying to add one myself, just too lazy to do the work right now. just make sure your alternator/charging system can handle the fan's power needs. variable speed controller FTW.

Arin..be careful about using the bimmer fans..You really should have an Old skool V-8 Flex fan in there I installed one on mine and never had an overheating issue, I did have a big 4 core radiator in it too. I also used a lower temp thermostat so it would pop open sooner and cool the engine quicker.

But man great work so far and it's good to hear her running!

Is there anything bad with the bimmer fan, or is it just that the old school fan is adequate. My mechanic said he might just give it to me since he has no use for it, and free stuff is always a good thing

Eventually, when I really need to beef stuff up I'm going to get myself a bigger radiator, for sure.

Thanks for the tips!

they were.... uhh... there already.... when i got there

hehehe, actually they really aren't mine. I went up the the community college to take some pics with the mountains there, saw some convenient tire marks, and lined up the car.

Campus security was driving around, so I couldnt make my own mark .....yet

As we were leaving though, on the backside of the campus where no one really ever goes, dad asked me if i wanted to make a mark so i did, we have video, but its pretty unimpressive. I couldn't floor the gas pedal bec of my shoes, and i didn't stay on the brake as long as i should have. Then add the fact that my baby is a one wheel wonder and thus...

unfulfillment. Still... it was fun lol
