Sorry, I didn't get a chance to go in and check it out.

Hopefully it'll be done next week, though, and we can hang out.

so i stopped by the shop again. cars on the ground, and has apparently even driven around inside the shop. new steering rack supposed to be here by tomorrow and that should be it methinks then theres the smog adventure, but i'm confident about that this time around. but anyway, enjoy some more pics

the hole in the hood is much larger now lol. i'm thinking cowl hood

check out them tailpipes

thats right an electric fan! WOOT

and them brakes

also, i saw this car a few years ago, i think there might be some primer pics of it around somewhere, but i saw it again this time when i went into the shop. feast upon this beast

oh yeah and i saw a new charger's rear end, never got to see the nose

also, side by side comparison of the fiesta and mazda2 literally

the nitty gritty stuff is killing me

so i got a call last weekend saying ITS DONE! naturall, i was quite jubilant.

then abouut an hour later, a call that said SORRY, it still needs aliggnment

i think to myself, well thats not so bad. it'll just get aligned on monday and i'll pick it up wed when i come back to redwood city. wrong again

the alignment said my lower ball joints were shot and they couldnt trust them to hold an alignment. Idk if its because the ones on my car really were shot, or because they are not the stock mustang II pieces. When i switched to tubular control arms on the bottom, they came with new chrysler type screw in ball joints. in any case, another set is on the way. ordered from speedway motors which if you order before noon has same day shipping.

keep your fingers crossed for me guys. its almost there

WOOHOO!!!!! Almost there Arin.

Also about that hood......

I would try for a Cobra R hood. I like those better than a regular cowl hood.

so...

the car is done! I just went by a bit ago to see it and hear it. I'll be picking it up in a few hours. the car runs sweet. its a bit quiet, in fact its pretty quiet, but thats fine by me.

whats next is getting it smogged. I went to the CHP office, got the paperwork i needed. I need to make an appointment to go to a referree station, and before that i need to go to the DMV to get a permit to drive it to said smog station whenever that day of the appt is. now its just bureaucracy and paperwork to go lol
