Today, nothing.

Yesterday, parked her after a nice 3 day weekend of driving her to, around and about the Texas Hill Country nearby Kerrville, Texas. Whereupon she officially flipped her odometer to 186000 and beyond.

She had quite the thing happen though. We had stopped somewhere and I'd accidentally went over a parking stop/curb/that annoying concrete stick that gets under bumpers and likes to pull. Dangit. So getting her off that thing was fun, but I did, and thought I didn't damage anything.

Note: She has a Sto-n-sho front bracket for that stupid front license plate. Well, not the plate, it's a great plate, matches the one in the back, the stupid is that it is legally required in Texas, I still don't know why.

Anyway. Nope. Damage happened. The SnS bracket had gotten grabbed *just so* and ripped out the fasteners... and the front bumper and the under tray decided to part ways on the freeway. Nice. But I managed to stitch it back together with some zip ties, and it was good enough for the weekend. Except that, and that being my fault to be fair 'cause I got used to the Caliber and it's high stance, Awesome was as nicely mannered and happy as a clam. Or maybe a gazelle... or cheetah... IDK, whatever aminal you wanna... hey, there we go, happy as Animal playin' them drums!...

Um... yeah, she was Awesome. There and back, zoomin' through the twisties, havin' a good ol' romp. Man, it was great to be drivin' her for that trip. More please.

/And yes, I'll get it fixed right, those are temporary zip ties... but I must admit, I am kinda diggin' the lil' accent, just the color's wrong...

I've already got my previous Mustang stuck on one of those bastards before. To make things worse was that one of the rebarb rods was sticking up and had me good and caught. Luckily another person came over and lifted up the corner a little so that I could back her off of the hook. Lesson learned I give extra special attention to these whenever parking at one.

That's what happened to me too! Dang bar was stuck up *just* enough to make it worse. And worst still, was in JUST the right place to grab that bracket!

Still my fault, but yeah.

Hope everyone is well.

She’s away for the winter. Second year she’s in a storage garage to keep her safe. I found this place that a friend recommended and it’s been great and cheap compared to other places. I think I drove her three times this year. Broken ankle turned into an opposite knee issue that had me saying screw it. My only regret is that time snuck up on me and I didn’t get an oil change before putting her away.

Anyway, when I get her I’m gonna need tires, headliner fixed, and some rock ding, chips repaired.

Eight years in, is there anything I should have looked at? I love this style and I’m keeping her until one of us dies.

New gas struts for the trunk lid and new Rain-X silicone wipers. Glamorous and exciting, I know.

Been enjoying a few short drives. Weather has been fantastic lately. Did my annual tire rotation yesterday. Now ready to add a few miles for the summer.

Ordered a set of Ford white taillights for my 2016. Until now, Ford only made them for some foreign markets S550s and those were not plug and play. Didn't want aftermarket due to stories of leaks and failures. But Ford added two new packages for US cars called Ice White and Stealth that have US white lights. To be honest, I also wasn't sure if white lights would be too much white on my white car but Ford's pics convince me.

Doesn't look like too much white to me at all.. IMO they blend in very well with the white exterior.. Meanwhile, congrats

I cleaned her up, got the windows tinted with ceramic tint (35% on sides and back and 70% on windshield) and then I named her:
