What did you do with your Mustang today?

You were in an accident? That sucks, but atleast your getting to take advantage of it and get some extra modding done.

Not today but over the last two days. Installed Fat Mat rattle trap in the trunk, rear seat, rear quarters and both doors. I think it was worth the effort. Measured a 10 decibel difference before and after with just the trunk and rear seat. Haven't measured after doing the rest yet.

well this has been over the past couple days so here goes the list....and pics to follow....now where to start......
Pollen.....STOP TRYING TO GET SPERM ON MY GIRL!!!!...Seriously the trees should at the very least attempt to take my girl out to dinner on a date first....oh well the war has begun...the chain saw will prevail...
anyways....
cleaned out the car with the Dyson vac
changed the final bulbs to Amber, I like it but don't its kinda hard to decide if I will keep it as it, or change to a blue or red...but at night its easy to see so ehh, it works honestly, just need to order the 4 red and 1 blue bulb to complete the upgrade.
installed an antenna I had taken off an Exploder (i think it was a '00 model) and put it on the Stang
gave it another bath (**** trees and there sperm...)
also removed the decal the dealer had put on the car so it would have a better cleanner appearance to it, decided that since they were helping with my car and taking care of me and allowing me use of there shop for things that require a lift I would leave the license tag thing on (I can always remove that if i need to any way)
yesterday I ordered a "blue driver" for helping me diag all the cars (starting to get tired of having to hunt the scan tool down and locate the OBD port and all that mess then be stuck to the car and have to take a pic of the code then go in and research the possible causes, ect so I figured since I got an iPhone 5C I might as well try this device out and see if it allows me a bit more freedom when working on the cars!! (review and pics to come soon should be here by Friday!!)
sorry my picture taking skills are rather lacking but at least its the thought and effort that count I suppose!!!
Enjoy!

I pulled the trigger on some parts for mods. I'm going to attempt to install dual 8" stripes, along with a GT500 style spoiler and a ribbed flat black deck lid panel. I also ordered a set of red caliper covers for a (hopefully) near future wheel upgrade.
Renderings are shown with much wider stripes and similar wheels which I'm considering. I'm foregoing side stripes and stripes above the windshield. The last pic is how it looks now.
May God have mercy on me and and may he guide my hands straight and true.

The rendering is from the Mustang Customizer and was closest to the GT500 wheel. I wish there were more stripe options on that customizer too.
I'll have my work cut out for me. I'm figuring on two days of work next week (I'm 62, move slow and take a lot of smoke breaks). I'll remove the spoiler and deck panel so it'll be easier to lay down the stripes.
I was telling Patrick today that I wish someone would make an '14 version of a '67 Shelby grille. I think it'd look really badass.

I'm considering the GT500 wheels like yours, but in 19 X 9. The 19 X 10's are almost twice the price, and on top of that I can't justify new tires now. I shouldn't even be justifying new wheels just a year after I got the Bosses. I'm OK with a square set-up. I did some research and it seems that I can go as high as 275's on 9" rims if I want to do that later.

I'm considering stripes but I like the wider 10" or 12" stripes. 8" just seems so tiny on these massive cars.

I prefer 10" stripes myself, but I have back-up sensors in the rear bumper and they're 19.5" apart. 8'' stripes plus a gap gives me 17.5". I really don't want to deal with trying to cut holes in the stripes to accomodate the sensors.

I've still got to install the stripe(s) on mine. Waiting for a nice long weekend with some warm weather.

Visiting Lowes tomorrow for plenty of blue tape and a heat gun.

I don't trust myself...too late anyway, I've already ordered the dual 8" stripes. I'll be OK....most stripes are 10-12"...you don't see many that are a little more narrow.

I debated about the black out ribbed deck lid panel. But Mustang body colors other than black still have a gloss black rear panel, so you can get away with not striping over it since there's a clear separation of color.
But my car and the panel are both gloss black, and to not address it would make the striping in the rear look incomplete. The replacement MMD panel takes care of that visual faux pas.

I was a busy little beaver today. I finally did a proper repair and refinish of my front splitter after my recent driveway trauma. Couldn't get the **** thing off...just loosened it, masked off, sanded/smoothed and spray bombed. It came out looking almost new.
Then Big Brown arrived with toys. I got my GT500 spoiler, MMD deck lid panel, and red caliper covers. I'm dissapointed with those...thought they'd be metal, but they're just molded red plastic. Very cheesey. No way they're worth $200.
Put everything back in the boxes, and I await the stripes. I removed the trunk cover to see what I'll be dealing with next week, but I won't disassemble anything until I'm ready to tackl the stripes.
I also put yellow film on the fog lamps. I tried it last year, they looked like crap, and off they came. The second time wasn't much better...followed unstructions to a "T", used a heat gun, etc. They look real nice from 5' away, any closer and they look like crap. I love the look, may spring for yellow fogs at a later date.
All in all it was a Mustang kind of day.

look at you busy beaver! and yeah that's why i've never bothered with those cheap pos caliper covers. rip off i say! I'd rather leave my plain metail calipers exposed and not draw attention to shiny plastic red bits.

They are indeed aluminum, not plastic.
Btw Darren, I'm sending you a PM.
