Ah I see... But it has to drill and bolt to something? I assume the under diffuser area?

Decided to give her a quick wash this morning. She looked dirty next to that boss yesterday, and I wanted to get it done before the sun was good a up. :-)

Actually did 2 things to her today.

1) filled her up with good ole 91 octane (can't get 93 here...ugh, Iowa). I also LOVE my locking gas cap!!!

2) drove her to work! gave an employee a ride, goosed it a bit when he asked if this car was "stock". hehe, I love their reactions. Also, I was pleased to see this parked next to me. No other car has this much nostalgia. It's deeply American, through and through. Love it.

I'm going to a judged show on Sunday, probably will be up against similar modern muscle. I have no expectations of hardware, but I'd like to see how I compare.

Yesterday my GT got a third coat of Liquid Glass, and several more to go in the next couple of weeks. Looking good.

But today is nook and crannie day. If I can reach it, it's been cleaned whether it needed it or not. If it's hard plastic in the engine compartment or trunk, it gots coated lightly to a semi-gloss with tire dressing gel....same with any hard plastic exterior trim. Leather has been getting treated, interior trim and plastic cleaned and semi-glossed.

Any water spots in the engine bay area are gone. You can treat an Ebola patient under my hood, it's that sanitary. I'll spend close to an hour after a late lunch cleaning, detailing and treating the wheels/tires. I'll even bring an extra set of floor mats and the ones I drove over to the show in will disappear. Talk about being ****.

I'm saving the clear stuff for last.....glass is my arch enemy and I never get it right. Thankfully it's a 'vert and only the windshield to do.

Half of what I'm doing probably isn't necessary, but sometimes it's what you don't see that makes a difference.

Thanks Darren. I try very hard to keep my car looking good whenever I take it out, and even when it's not 100%, it's still way more clean than most of what's on the road. But a judged show....well, I'm taking this detailing thing to a whole different obsessive level.

It amazes me that I see cars at cruise events where no attempts were made to do even a basic wash, vac, and tire treatment. It turns me right off.

It's acid rain from the manufacturing of all those Prius batteries

Replaced the front speakers with Pioneer 5x7 coax, dynamatted part of the door, washed and waxed the GT with PS21. And the wife's SUV.

Tired.

I went to a "Support the Troops" car show at the Massachusetts Military Reservation (formerly Otis air force base) in Bourne on Cape Cod with the Mustangs of Massachusetts. we had 21 club members participate, some of us drove 70+ plus miles to get there. All proceeds went to support the families of military personnel deployed overseas. We had an entire row for members of MoM.

Drove to a booyah at our local fire department to pick up a gallon and show our support to those who matter most.
Watched a guy I know out of the blue just blow by us in a Cheby truck screeming Chevy's rule. Funny guy.
Drove out to a couple apple orchards to pick up some hand picked apples and pastries. It's that time of year.
Stopped off at a Cup and Cone to get some ice cream.
Stopped by a Caribou to get yogurt smoothies.
Darted home in time to miss the storm that rolled through. All and all not much.
