What did you do with your Mustang today?

All done:
Not 100% sure I like it, but it's not bad. My stock bar has some light scratches on it so I don't really want to leave it stock. Might paint it with something a bit more permanent later on down the road.

Today I replaced my wheels with the original wheels again. I don't want to risk damaging the AMR wheels that need to be returned.
Now waiting on my newly ordered TSW gun metal (mirror cut face) wheels to arrive. I'll have to take them to a tire shop, together with the AMR wheels and swap the tires and TPMS sensors.
Really looking forward to this. And if everything goes as planned and discussed with the customer service manager, then American Muscle has some seriously great customer service!
Driving on my original tires made me aware again of how much more traction I got out of the Mickey Thompson's! Of course the tires are much, much wider. And they also stick out further to the edges of the car, but the difference is just huge!

Yeah, I think part of the reason I'm not 100% on it is that I didn't line up the bar right the first time, then tightened down the nuts which removed the plastidip around the bolts on one side. After I lined it up properly there's some bare spots that stick out. I need to redo that area, and maybe I'll feel a little better about it.

I gave her a bath and just took an epic mountain country drive and never touched 6th gear! It was a gorgeous 70* evening and Miss Scarlett was feeling her ponies. I went past this one pasture and this horse ran up to the fence and shook it's head up and down as I drove by!!! Absolutely epic! Attachment 159297

Don't worry about the plasti-dip damage around the mounting holes, just get some strut covers and cover them bolts up
Currently on sale for $43.99: http://www.cjponyparts.com/cpc-shock...5-2013/p/STT7/

Guess it could be cut fairly easy...

never thought of that. Thanks Nick. I am not 100% solid on leaving it but at least i can add paint later if i get tired of the CF look. I am a pretty spontaneous guy so who knows, on paint day, I might change my mind

It looks black, but up close you can still see the CF details

This would look awesome, if you did a 80/20 clear/DIB mix. I've seen this done on a few rides, where the color is slightly opaque so you can still see the weave if you look close, but it still matches the rest of the car. Then put your stripes over

very interesting Patrick. I will leave the vents natural CF for sure I know that. I'll be taking to a shop specializing in custom mustang work, so i'll see what he suggests after seeing the hood in place. found this on another site. did basically what you mentioned…
