Ford recalls 435,000 cars to fix rust, seats
April 7, 2014, 4:35 p.m. EDT
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Ford Motor Co. /quotes/zigman/264304/delayed/quotes/nls/f F +0.06% issued two recalls Monday totaling nearly 435,000 of its cars and SUVs to correct a couple of fundamental problems: rusty subframes and faulty seats. According to the Detroit News, the biggest problem involves 386,000 Ford Escapes, model years 2001 through 2004, whose subframes are prone to rust, especially in the 20 states that use salt to clear icy roadways. The rust can cause a control arm to break loose, which in turn hampers steering. Ford says it knows of one crash from this problem but no injuries. The other recall covers about 49,000 vehicles equipped with seatback frames that fail to meet federal safety standards. Models affected in the second recall are the Ford Escape, Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ, and C-MAX models made in 2013 and 2014. Ford shares closed 1.2% lower Monday at $15.94.

Hello all. I am new and a first time Mustang owner. I owned a wheel and performance shop in Tulsa and we always had SRT 8 and some vettes. I just bought a Shelby GT 500 and I love it. I'm looking for some tips on performance items I may not of heard of. Cheers, Mike in Tulsa

Lightning kills more than 60 cows in Chile

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — Ranchers in southern Chile say a series of lightning strikes has killed more than 60 of their dairy cows, costing the cattle owners thousands of dollars.
Storms on Sunday spawned the strikes in south-central Chile. Worst hit was a ranch in Los Rios owned by Cecil Fourt, who says 54 of his cows were killed by lightning and another one was blinded. Another rancher, Claudio Toledo, says nine of his cows sheltering under a tree were struck and killed.
The El Austral newspaper reported Tuesday that workers were digging a deep pit to bury the cattle.

I've had a feeling for a while that by the time Justified ends next season that Raylan will end up with Kendall and getting back with his ol' lady and daughter.
