I just can't do it Nate, my mind wont let me give that much money for something that I'll drive out west and through Death Valley (ever been down the back roads of Death Valley?), the back woods mountain roads of Colorado, Washington, Utah, South Dakota, etc., the National Forest service roads around here that are rough as a corn cob and dirt washboards, etc. I just can't give that kind of money for a vehicle that will get "driven" like that and it still be basically a FWD Taurus on top of all that.
Listen up Ford, I'm looking at a diesel Grand Cherokee. Much better mileage for day to day driving, MUCH better torque (especially when you're out West in 10K foot elevations) and REAR WHEEL DRIVE based.

Sorry to hear Gary, and you're absolutely right. The world does suck sometimes.

That's horrible. We had two dogs that were poisoned years ago. Some people really suck.

I don't understand why people poison pets.

Why is it that **** all seems to happen at the same time? Been thinking about another car, have to buy a lawn mower, had to put a radiator in, and now one of my HVAC units at the house has crapped out.

Ford recalls 435,000 cars to fix rust, seats
April 7, 2014, 4:35 p.m. EDT
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Ford Motor Co. /quotes/zigman/264304/delayed/quotes/nls/f F +0.06% issued two recalls Monday totaling nearly 435,000 of its cars and SUVs to correct a couple of fundamental problems: rusty subframes and faulty seats. According to the Detroit News, the biggest problem involves 386,000 Ford Escapes, model years 2001 through 2004, whose subframes are prone to rust, especially in the 20 states that use salt to clear icy roadways. The rust can cause a control arm to break loose, which in turn hampers steering. Ford says it knows of one crash from this problem but no injuries. The other recall covers about 49,000 vehicles equipped with seatback frames that fail to meet federal safety standards. Models affected in the second recall are the Ford Escape, Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ, and C-MAX models made in 2013 and 2014. Ford shares closed 1.2% lower Monday at $15.94.
