My boss sent me on a runner mission to deliver some paperwork to the county. In the 10 minute back road round trip, I was nearly run off the road 3 times, two people nearly entirely in my lane coming the opposite directions. Stay off the road morons!

I think football used to be this. Now it's 99% a bunch of overpaid/over-idolized, whiney wussies, flags every 3-4 plays, no loyalty from the players to their teams, no loyalty from the teams to their players. In your day, "professional sports" was a job. I really wish I grew up 50 years ago. We may have not had all this technology (which, in many ways has improved our lives, but ruined them at the same time), but the quality level of society was much higher.

The hits are harder, but the players behind the pads are not as tough as they used to be.

There's been a crazy amount of morons on the roads lately. Most of them slowpokes who pull out right in front of you and then go 20 under. I did see someone going the wrong way down a split road through a shopping development yesterday. I think they realized it when they got to the main road and cars were coming towards them. So they threw it in reverse and backed up a good ways.

The hits are only "harder" because of all the extra pads they use now. Football is a brutal sport, but so is rugby, and they don't have near the injuries that exist in football. Get rid of pads and helmets and the guys will learn to to tackle without causing injuries.

Probably half of the cumulative (potential) concussion damage is from their own buddies slapping them on the helmet in congrats. Usually from the back or side.

Exactly. Rugby is a sport played by men. I like to watch hockey too, even considering they have a lot of pads too, but those guys are tough. Today's roided out millionaire sissies who go bankrupt after they retire? No thanks.
