What a dreary weekend. Cloudy, drizzling and just all around crappy. I wanted to drive the 500, doesn't look like that's going to happen. Drove the 70 around for a bit the other day, never did get the 500 out this week though.

I agree. I've seen a few in downtown Houston. Looks goofy from the back. Too much going on and many different angles

Charlie, I hope you still had some whiskey and turkey left when you shooed that visitor out the door.

And how'd things work out for that horse that was so sick?

Yeah, plenty left - that was a huge bird! But I'm too tired to enjoy it tonight. lol Going on 4 hrs sleep but got the place looking nice. Just met the guy - he was the tech at the hospital and offered to take care of the herd when I'm gone - so I showed him how to feed the horses and then went to grab a bite to eat. I said there's plenty of food here but he wanted to go up to the lake resort. Lo and behold - he owns an 07 black vert.

The stallion is doing fine. He's his chipper self again. Thanx for asking! I'm still not sure what it was. I never did see any problems with his rear hooves like the vet suggested, and none of the symptoms matched colic either. So either the penicillin or the other medicine took care of it, or he worked through it himself. Never saw trembling flank muscles before.

Do you ever fry a turkey? A friend of mine fries a couple of turkeys, and some ducks in peanut oil every year and they are the best birds I've ever had. Injected and rubbed with a bunch of stuff, they are delicious.

I never have myself, but had some at a friends about 10 yrs back. I was surprised how good it was. I was expecting it to be a greasy mess.

I love that movie. What channel is that on Dish?

The Sicilian scene with Walken and Hopper is great.

Hopper's monologue is fantastic. "The Moors moved in there (or the Moops if you're a Seinfeld fan, lol) and they did so much ****ing that they changed the whole bloodline."

"You're great great great grandmother ****ed a ******, and had a half ****** kid, and if that's a fact, tell me, am I lying? And you, you're part eggplant."

Awesome scene.

Ever noticed that James Gandolfini is the enforcer/hit man standing behind Hopper?

I'm a little bit queasy, no idea why. I only drank about 40 oz of vodka and ate 6 or 7 Krispy Kreme donuts in the process.

Not sure what the problem is.

Watching The Patriot now for about the 100th time. Love that movie.

More like sugar overload. You're blood sugar was probably spiking and crashing.
