Did it hurt the crank? Because that lifter was ****ed up, never in my day have I seen one ground down like that. That had to have screwed up some stuff in the top end surely, and if the crank got away unscathed its a miracle. You must have been turning that thing about 8 grand, lol. Of course those sudwiesers will do that, lol.
Were you on the bottle when it let go (the car, not you, lol). I'd just go back with a big 600 or so inch stroked up FE motor next time, something that wouldn't turn but about 5 grand but make more torque than a freight train like you used to build. You know that is exactly what that car is begging for.
I'm here. Had to take some clients out to dinner tonight, then got screwed up watching SOA earlier, lol.

i pulled a few rod caps off last nite and they looked good as new so i`m gunna just clean it out as best i can and check the oil pump and throw in a new cam while i get the 429 back out of retirement maybe to go back in later this year ...
