Well its a 3 day thing with a bunch of big country stars, Toby Keith, etc. so tickets are $140 and the only thing I'd really like to see is BBS and CDB. Plus I don't have anyone to drive and I'm not taking a chance like that.

Yeah I know, but I'll still be on the coast then. Now that would be a hell of a drive after a night at a honky tonk lol.

Had a good night here too. Got off work at 1. Played some golf (shot a 77), then to the downtown festival to see The Embers play. They were AWESOME!

Great....now that it's finally the weekend.

Work has been completely overwhelming lately. I'm looking forward to a long weekend next week. I'm off Friday and we are headed to Maple Grove. I want to go to one of our area dealers tomorrow where Vaughn Gittin, Jr. will be giving rides but I have too much to do tomorrow and don't have time

I am for about five more minutes. (I'm a wuss). In the TX hill country for the weekend with our hard drinkin church friends. 9 couples together in one house. Was supposed to be 10, but one of the guys had a heart attack today. He is in the hospital and should be okay. We are all within a few years of 60 on one side or the other so getting those health problems

Funniest comment: we prepaid for the lodging. Were discussing whether we should refund the cost to the couple that could not make it. The only Democrat in the group says "No, we'll just use their payment to subsidize the rest of us and call it Obamacabin"

Goodnight Chet

I'm still awake shockingly. So danged busy lately. I'd like to get away but there just isn't ever any time. Just one thing after another. I feel like saying screw it and just getting in my car and getting the hell out of here.

Been busy grilling beef ribs off for the crock pot tomorrow and pork steaks tonight. Pulled a Lee last night and didn't eat dinner. Whisky happy hour and followed up with Irish Stout kicked my butt. Paid for it all day.

Oh, and playing vet. One of my stallions is acting like he's got a blockage or something. Kept laying down while he had hay so I went and checked on him. His flank muscles on both sides were shaking like he had been cramping in his gut. Poor guy.

I didn't think I had any but checked my foal kit and still had an enema. So I put vegetable & mineral oil on some pellet feed and then gave him the enema. Hoping oil down the throat, warm water up the ****, maybe they'd meet in the middle and unplug him. rofl

I haven't checked on him for a few hours but within two hours after I treated him he had crapped 3 times, was still eating and drinking water, and was whinnying when I came to check on him. Those are good signs.

But its still 50/50. I've seen it go both ways where they work through it or it takes them down.

Praying he gets through it. They have such finicky guts but nothing has changed. Same hay, same routine. I wormed the whole herd but that was 2 weeks ago so it wouldn't be related to that.

I'm dying to go up north and get some pictures of the leaves changing, but by the time I'll actually have some free time, they'll probably all be gone.
