Corrected. ![Wink](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
There's also the issue where many departments don't clean and re-certify the breathalyzer before reuse. Many have been busted because of the false/pos from the residue from the previous drunk. As a result, many have had their sentence reduced by good attorney's over this issue.

Also, I agree, the .08 limit it (necessarily) too low. I know women that are small enough that a glass of wine at dinner would probably put them over. I'd like to find out how much it takes for me to be over the limit (obv. not the bad way), but I drink like a fish when me and friends go out, and I'm still way better off than any of them (not driving, don't freak).
I saw some Crown Black in the store the other day. Good?
I've always wanted to try some good moonshine.

Yeah, I think an arbitrary number is a bit misleading. There are some people, ahhemmm, that have a much higher tolerance than your mere mortals. Some of it biological, some of it because of quantity that is frequently consumed. I know people that 2 drinks will put them way on the unsafe side to drive, I also know people that can drink a liter and still be walking, talking, and functioning. It just depends on the person. Not saying they should be able to drive, but double the limit for one person can be falling down ****ed up, for another you'd never know they were lit. Hell, I've seen people that would still be double the limit the next day after they woke up and seem perfectly sober.
Yes, its good. But it takes a whisky drinker to appreciate it.

if they even thought about sentencing me while using an uncertified and malfunctioning machine, they'd have a lawsuit on them so fast their heads would spin.

One of my co-workers was killed today in a vehicle accident. He was on his way into work when he lost control of his truck on black ice, it burst into flames and he was trapped inside. He was on the same road I normally take every day going in over the GE bridge. It happened at 7:30am the same time I would have been going over that bridge had I not had the day off.
I feel very uneasy about this, makes me think about what would have happened if I had gone to work. Would I have been there before him? Could it have been me? Would I have found him there? Could I have helped him? IDK it is really bothering me.

Thanks Lee, It is very freaky. I was taking with another co-worker about it when it dawned on me that it happened at the same time I'm usually going over that very bridge. It gave me a very bad sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.

jim, so sorry to hear. But honestly, you can never think of things like that. What says you wouldn't have been in the other lane? Accidents are just that, accidents. A freak occurence. Don't get yourself too worked up thinking about the what ifs.

That's awful. My ex was drunk, killed a good mutual friend in a rollover accident. He was stupid and going 100+ down A1A on a donut tire on a stupid civic. He went to jail for 3 years for vehicular manslaughter.
Oh my! I also make him get me a beer.![Big Grin](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Oh... And a sammich.

Update on the crash story: Passenger in the back seat was buckled, not ejected, no injuries to him. Josh(driver) is currently in a coma, with a lot of pressure on the brain. He's a tough kid, but he won't be the same when he gets out I have a feeling. Kori went with her cousin to see him in the hospital. The normal pressure around the brain is supposed to be like 5 units of some sort, Josh's is at 105ish.
It's hitting me a lot more than I thought it ever would. And it happened 1.5 miles from my house

Oh, your right, it's just hard not to think about. This bridge is very dangerous, steel grate draw bridge. There have been many accidents on it, this is now the second death I know of on it.
