Well it's a long story but I'm alive. She definitely improved some over the course of the drive.

Imagine my dismay when I get in the car and watch her routine that her mother taught her and discover she was left foot braking! I flipped out and asked her who showed her that and she said it was her mother.

She was preparing her for the next lesson - heel/toe.

My mother and sister both drive with two feet. There is no breaking them of that habit. My mother used to drive a stick at one time too, so you would think she wouldn't brake with her left foot. Nope.

Well I think I nipped it in the bud early. First three or four turns she did it while braking, but I corrected her every time and now it's ok.

I just let her drive me and her over to my parents and she did so much better.

By the way when my wife was teaching her last night the wife drove the vert home last night and left the dang headlamps on. I noticed it about 3 hours later. And today at lunch a neighbor came over and warned us the car might be dead because the lights were on last night. Pretty cool neighbors.

This also explains why the Expedition goes through brakes so fast.

Nothing like being behind someone going uphill with their brake lights on!

I left foot brake.

for that matter, when I'm going through some twisty roads with the stang, I left and right foot brake, mostly using my right though for heel-toeing.

David must be getting old before his time. I noticed recently that my dad has started left foot braking in his old age. Never seen him do it before now.

I think David's problem is his feet are the size of clown feet so he can't help it.
