Alright Charlie. I did some research on this. There seems to be some differences on what Cherry Bounce is depending on what region you are from (of course). The first link is what we around here refer to as bounce. Those cherries will be impossible for you to get over there.http://nomenu.com/joomla1/index.php/...rticle&id=1497

The second link is probably gonna be great though. John Folse is a very local chef and everything he does is fantastic. I personally know his family. He has a few awesome cookbooks that you may also want to check out. The dude really knows Louisiana cooking. http://www.jfolse.com/stirrin/recipe...%20bounce.html

I put John Folse into Amazon search and found his cookbooks. But here is my favorite title by Marcelle Bievenue:
"Who's Your Mama, Are You A Catholic, and Can You Make A Roux?"

That's pretty funny. That quote is so south Louisiana.

Just got word of 2 guys that are seniors this year at my high school. Josh, and Brett. They got into a roll over, Josh got head trauma, he's in ICU, awaiting cat scans, and Brett died in the accident.

I know these guys, and while they were cool enough, I've got this sneaking suspicion they were both drunk. I'd run into them at a gas station nearly every weekend, both of them clearly not sober. It sucks to see, and I hate to sound a ****, but how long can you be lucky enough to get away with driving drunk, especially in a F250 Diesel with a 12 inch lift and 42's, running the dark *** back roads around my house?

Sorry to hear that Sean. A real shame when anyone that young is lost, regardless of the circumstances. My sympathy for their family and friends.

we had a similar story when I was in highschool. few weeks before prom, kid coming home from a party, went sideways into a telephone pole at an est. 80 mph. They brought what was left of the car and put it on the lawn of the school during prom to serve as a reminder.

That's terrible Sean, tough way to learn a lesson. Especially for the parents. Any news stories about it?

Well here's the story. Josh, the driver, as it turns out had been drinking (I don't know how much, whether it was hammered or 1 beer), and they were coming down SR64. A guy in a little nissan ran a stop sign from a side street, hit Josh's truck, which sent the truck into a spin, and then it rolled multiple times, all 3 passenger ejected.

My guess is that when the nissan blew the stop sign, Josh ran him over with his tires, so probably pulled some monster truck looking **** going over the nissan, lost it coming down, and then was just along for the ride.

Here's the truck they were in:

Dang Sean. Sorry to hear about that.

Things like these remind me of a guy I knew who got killed by a drunk driver. His fiance wouldnt let him drive due to himself drinking and both of them got killed when an older Ford ranger hit them head on. Oh and they were driving a 69 Pontiac Lemans. That Ranger twisted that car like it was nothing.

That's awful. My ex was drunk, killed a good mutual friend in a rollover accident. He was stupid and going 100+ down A1A on a donut tire on a stupid civic. He went to jail for 3 years for vehicular manslaughter.
