Maybe that's only Oaks? Hardwoods? Out here the Ponderosa's and Douglas Firs can blow over like that (esp in rain soaked soil) because there's no tap root.

All I know is when it's time to pull out an old stump it's next to impossible without dynamite or a 330 excavator

Reminds me I rented one in '94 to drill post holes for a stallion paccock. Figured "my F150 half hauls a whole ton of hay all the time, no problem".
Hooked the flatbed to a bumper hitch and took off.
That lil 4.9L did fine until the pass. lol Naturally I had to drop into 3rd and figured I'd chug about 45 like with hay. Geez it slowed to 30-35 and I dang near had to drop down into 2nd. So I kept it plenty slow coming down the other side pumping those brakes so they wouldn't over heat.
So if you have any 600' climbs around you, you might want to be sure you have an F250 - and a V8!!

How proficient are you at operating one? If you are a novice, its likely you could come out better paying someone that has one to do the work than renting it and doing it yourself. You can waste a lot of hours if you don't know what you're doing, whereas someone that does it on a regular basis with their own equipment can knock it out much more quickly.

59 here.

80s move in early next week along with all the severe weather. They're saying a good chance for tornadoes monday. To be honest, I'm really freaked out this summer. I've always loved a good storm, but after what we've seen this spring, I just get a sick feeling in my stomach.

GT was acting funny today. I was sitting at a stop light twice today, with my foot on the brake, and it almost felt like it wanted to lunge out into the intersection. It kind of jumped as though I had hit the gas, but I pushed down harder on the brake and thankfully it didn't go anywhere. Any idea what could be causing this? I know AM/Bama says something like this could happen with the race tune, but I'm only running the 87 street tune.
