FWIW it appears the rest of you states need us more than we need you. But we will stick around for now to save you from the likes of Kalifornia.

Right up until your faucet starts pouring oil chems like PA/OH faucets are dripping methane that they can light with a match. lol
I mean I hope we're not cutting off our nose to spite our face. Fracking and new reserves are awesome. But keeping the aquifers of fresh ground water safe is more precious than oil and someone better be paying attention to that and come up with a better method than sucking wells dry or ruining them.
But water remains a key issue. In addition to possible contamination of surface and underground water from fracking fluids, the sheer volume of water required poses challenges, especially in South Texas, which faces a severe drought and rapidly diminishing water levels in the local aquifer.
At the rate wells are being drilled, “there’s definitely going to be a problem,” said Bay Laxson, a local water official.
Dave Thompson, regional production superintendent for the oil company SM Energy said the industry knew that water issues were “an Achilles heel.”
