The car looks good. Real good.

As far as the 4.10's it's amazing isn't it. You wanna kick yourself for not doing it sooner. My favorite was second gear. It pulls like a twin turbo tractor in 2nd. First is ok, but when you get the RPM's up and shift to second its like the Starship Enterprise going into warp speed. I freakin' love it.

Also it was amazing how I could pass in 5th easily too. The car was a dog in 5th before, but with 4.10's it pulls in every gear!

The only drawback is alot more shifting in the city. I find myself shifting in the middle of turns because 1rst is just wound too high when you are pulling out of a driveway or turning at a stop light. You end up having to shift to second right at the apex.
I'm quoting Gary due to shorter post. Car looks great Jim! And looks like how it should have been stock as far as ride height goes

And this question is mainly for Gary and Lee: Was at work today, it rained during lunch, just liqufied the field, but I got through the least submerged areas. Now, I don't exactly have good tires, or even a limited slip diff, so please excuse me. Anyways, it's all wet sand and mud under the grass, and even my feet sink in 2 inches, but I figured the truck would be fine with momentum, and it was. Sorry for the novel, lol, but here's the question. I made 4 passes thru the field, the first and second were the first time the ground had been run over, so no ruts or anything. The 3rd time I took the same line as the 4th, but had my tires a little separated from the older ruts. The 4th pass, there wasn't enough space to gain much momentum, and not enough between bamboos to really stay out of the first ruts. Still a novel Basically, should I always try to stay out of the tire tracks I made previous and always make new ones, or follow the sucessful lines right in the tracks?

The first and 3rd passes were made coming towards the POV in this pic, notice the separate tracks, and my consistency with my line too lol

The second and 4th were made here, this was before I made the 4th. Truck was going away from the camera POV

It looks like really nothing much in these pics, but trust me, there's actually something to it! Honestly very mild, but nearly enough to get me stuck

Maybe the 50th should be nearby. That would be a cool place for us all to meet up.

Sean-When it's muddy I try to stay out of the old ruts. When you make a rut the water that in the ground will settle in inside the rut. Now it also depends on the ground. round here. We get about a 2" deep layer of snot. Without mud **** you just slip and slide around. Usually the ground is firm underneath but sometimes you hit a soft spot and then boom your stuck. Number one rule is retain momentum. After your first past you could tell where the soft/wet spots were and you can then maneuver around them. Lastly the grass helps. Grass is a binder, so you have a better chanced at getting grip through the grass than through the straight mud. Plus the grass roots will act like surface tension to keep your tires up out of the slop.

If you think your getting stuck be sure and keep those back tires moving until you actually are stuck. If you stop you will definitely be stuck!

When my grandfather was alive, he lived in Canton. Been a long time since i've seen signs for Asheville and Hendersonville. Maggie Valley is another that comes to mind.

Nice pics!

So Asheville... like NC? Those are the Smokies?
That reminds me of SE Missouri Ozarks. Its funny - those hills aren't that high compared to the altitude out west, but those steep hills and hollars will definitely wear your butt out hikin' & huntin'.

Whenever we'd go to teh dragon, always on the way home we'd go over teh Cherohala and go through Telico plains and each time ate at the telico cafe. pretty good place !

Edit, pic from our very first trip there. Btw in this pic is 3 admins of this sites cars.. one being my Mystic, see if you can figure the other two.

Momentum is everything. Snow too. Whether pickin' trails dirt bikin' or 4 wheelin', always 'stay on the high ground'. If you drive the ruts there's a swamp lurkin' somewhere and in an instant you can be buried axle deep. So unless you have a wench along, you're stuck!

Well the Golden GT is easy, but I'm not sure what Brad drove before the s197, so I'm gonna guess that's Paul in the teal Cobra.

Is that you in the burnt orange behind your Mystic?
