The 70 is a beautiful car, I have always loved that year. Where did you get those wheels on it, are they factory? What powers it?

The two Exploders are really nice trucks. I had a 96 2WD 5.0L in high school, It was very nice. Then as a graduation present I got a low mileage 97 SOHC 4.0L Sport Premium. It also was a very nice truck. I wish I had kept that one longer than I did but I just had to have an SHO.

The S/C is just such a cool car they are so rare, and really nice looking. In high school a friend had a two tone navy/silver one with silver Cobra R rims. It was a very sharp looking car. Don't they have a solid aluminum space saver spare rim?
Thanks. The wheels on the 70 are Appliance Dia-Mags. Appliance made a lot of different styles of what used to be referred to as "mag" wheels in the 60's and 70's (I used to have a pic of a magazine ad for them, can't find it now). We came across them in the early 80's and thought they looked good on the car when we restored it. Every once in a while you'll see some for sale, but they have become quite rare now so they really stand out more than newer more modern wheels. You can't really even find much about them on the internet.

It's got the original 302 in it, but mildly built when we restored it. Runs strong, but more of a cruiser than anything. Pretty much everything on the car is new old stock from Ford. Bumpers, all emblems, grill, tail lights, marker lights, trim, weather stripping etc. When we restored it you could still get that stuff, and there weren't any reproduction parts available like there are now. It's been just like it is now since about '87. The interior is all original except for the carpet and dash pad. Probably driven less than 5000 miles since then, just to shows and such (haven't done that in a long time).

The SC has a regular donut in it. The early Turbo Coupes 84-85 IIRC had the aluminum spare. Back then Mustang guys would get a pair of them at the junkyard and run them on the front like skinnies at the strip to save weight launch better. Like this...

Yeah its been hitting 60's here, down to 20's at night though.
Winter snowpack is only 70% because of El Nino, so the Feds today said Klamath/Tulelake farmers will only get 30% of their usual irrigation flows.

The 70 sounds great, it must be a blast sometimes to just gent in it and go for a drive. My father has a 78 Vette. All original, but we did rebuild the engine and drop all the emissions stuff. Sometimes if I get the chance I take it for a ride and just drive and drive and drive. (haven't done that in a very, very long time either). It's almost therapeutic...

Yes, those are the wheels I was thinking of. I also heard they are popular in the hot rod community for fronts. I guess they look pretty sweet when they are polished.

Just got back from dropping it off. It doesn't help that the finance guy kept saying "this is a nice one".

The good news is the finance guy said I should have no problems getting another one when I land a new job.

One last pic as I was leaving...
