I wish we got things like that. We always have to hide our "stash" within our computers otherwise they find it and we get into trouble.Most people I listen to do write their own songs, or at least most of them, and they do sing about things that have meaning to them. To me country music is about life, and that's pretty much what I'm seeing. What you're talking about sounds more like the pop industry, and not country, or at least the country that I know. I don't see how the people you listed are any different than country singers of today. Heck, isn't Charlie Daniels in a geico commercial now? I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm just having a hard time seeing how there aren't many true "artists" around any more, when most people I see in country music are. 
Nathan what he is prolly trying to say is people like Taylor Swift, Carry Underwood, and other "new" singers are singing more of a pop country and not the good old fashion country country like Trace Adkins,John Micheal Montgomery, George Strait, etc, etc

There's no one genre of country music though. The pop side of country just seems to be more popular right now. Music is always changing. I'm sure it'll be something different ten years from now, just like it was ten years ago. It's not like the traditional country has completely disappeared. Besides, whether you think Taylor Swift is country or pop or both, you have to give her credit for writing all of her songs. She says it more than anyone, her albums are like a diary of her life.
Im also not saying that pop country is a bad thing either. There are songs that hit close to home that are "pop" country.
I was just tryin to put my opinion on how I took what he was saying.

Dumb question, but where to you get ringtones from? Do you have to download an app?
