I am piecing together a game plan for sound systems in the 3 project vehicles.
7 needs more power for the subs or I need to cut back to one 10. The M series Alpine does good but after about 30 to 40 minutes at volume it gets tired. I need something a little bigger or stronger or maybe I need two, I'm not sure. I was thinking of switching to Kicker since I refuse to buy another PDX1.1000 after the last one crapped out on me.
I think I'll use the M1000 amp in the Bronco for a nice dual sub setup there. And maybe a small F300 for the 4 coax speakers.
Then I'll probably pull the PDX amps and use the 4x100 in the Mustang for the mains and use the 2x150 bridged to 300 for a single 10 or something.
So I'll be needing a new setup for 7 and Crutchfield has the Kicker 08ZX amps on sale and they seem to get good reviews.

I'm just saying and I've read some posts about the M's cutting out when subjected to high volume for an extended time. But it is pushing the Perfect 10's which have a sensitivity of like 87db and I've got it wired in a 2ohm load. So it's working pretty hard and getting pretty hot. Plus the small tight box doesn't help much either.

Ya, she's doing a little better finally. She was still on the couch all day yesterday.
Have fun David!
My alpine barely gets a little warm, but my kenwood does get pretty hot. Nothing like my blaupunkt though. Both of them are pushing 500wrms at 2ohms. Half the power might explain it?
Proves my noob point.

I skipped work today bec. my hands keep bothering me. My appointment is at 10:30 or so.
And my dad's S-Blazer struggles to go over 60mph It'll be good for my fiance to drive it as is, but if it was for my use...
Not sure yet what to do about having the clear PIAA lights with the tinted headlights. I'll probably have to have the PIAA's painted with some black and clearcoated like the tailllights. Then I'm gonna need to change the bulbs if that's possible to somehting in the 5k range like the HID headlamps and then all will be good.
I'll wait on the big brake upgrade, whenver that might be to actually run the brake ducts.
So the list is down to
1. New front big brakes
2. New wheels that will fit big brakes
3. Cowl hood
That's it. Then she's done.

^that's true...leo went on and on for a while about how he was done, then he made more drastic changes. One of the reasons I dont want to do everything at once, is so the euphoria lasts longer, haha.
