2015 GT Premium Brakes Squeeling

I'm new to this but have read many of the posts. Here's what has been going on with my case. I took mine in for the same thing and had the pads replaced and the rotors turned. 2 weeks later, same issue. I called back and it was escalated to Ford Engineering who replied that it is a "High Performance" brake pad and it should be expected to which I replied "at low speeds"? I also stated that I attend NASCAR and Indy races and never hear those brakes squealing. I literally just got off the phone with the service manager and he is being told not to do anything else (warranty work) that they are aware of the problem. Soooooooo, I have to live with this problem for the next month, 6 months, year, or however long it takes Ford to find a manufacturer that can build a quality product. I want to say this again and loud and clear: FORD HAS TOLD THE DEALERSHIP NOT TO DO ANYTHING ELSE ON MY CAR.

Class Action lawsuit time boys. I am growing tired of hearing all the complaints with no action to resolve.

I agree!! I'm sick of this crap! The thing is, are there enough of us with the issue who are willing to file a suit?!
Just let me know what I need to do, and I'll do it. Ford needs to be held accountable

In the comments of this YouTube (poor guy has it worse than me check it out:
) that it was isolated to cars sold in TX and CA. I know MrsThomas is in AK but maybe it originated in TX?

I'm not sure if we need a class suit given they said they are weeks away from a fix?

Hey everyone I've been keeping an eye on this thread and my mustang does the hideous freight train squeal as well but unlike most comments that I have read with mostly the gt premiums having the problem mine is the performance pack and it does it as well which is starting to make me wonder that the rotors themselves are the source of these problems (especially since I felt like the performance pack should have at least had slotted rotors) and that I got mine mid November last year, regardless my dealership has told me they can't do anything as since they have no idea as to how to fix or stop the noise so I immediately reported it to ford and they have asked me to be patient and they are working on a fix. By the way I'm in ha and the car was pus based in Atlanta

Can't tell from your comment, but is your car a GT Performance Pack or a EcoBoost Performance Pack?

The EB PP has the same brakes as a non-Performance Pack GT, while the GT PP gets the Brembo sourced 15" 6-piston brakes.

Additionally, there is no difference in a Premium GT vs a non-Premium GT when it comes to the brakes. If you have a EB PP, regardless of Premium or not, than you have the same brakes as a GT, just not a GT PP.

While I may be wrong, I don't recall hearing anyone validate that their GT PP Brembo equipped Mustang has squealing brakes as described in this thread, yet.

I have the GT with PP, and no noise yet...hopefully never!
Sorry for all that do...Sounds like Ford is playing "Dumb and Dumber"..."what is the most annoying sound ever"???

I recieved a call from Ford after a rather strongly worded email. They are aware of the problem and a fix will be out in a week and a half. All we can do its wait!

Reverse cam stuck in drive?

On another issue, has anyone gone into reverse, then drive, and the reverse cam remains on indefinitely (at least until you stop and start the car)?

They keep telling me the same thing. I hope they're not just telling us this to get us off their backs *sigh*

Good Morning all, I would just like to update you on my 2015 vehicle. It has now been at Ford 4 times, and I had it to a local auto shop to have a second opinion on it. They told me Ford needs to replace the front rotors and pads with an after market performance brake. So now I have a lawyer working on this because Ford does not want to do anything, but that isnt the worse of it. Just got a call yesterday as my mustang is back in the shop for a humming/whistle noise coming from the fan when the heat is on. They found out the HVAC case went up and now they have to tear my dash, seats, and steering column out to get to the case. I told them I want to hold on this because this is something I shouldnt have to have done on a brand new car with only 1400 miles on it.

The rep told me he wouldnt allow it and to take the car back and get your money back or have the lawyer do the work. My main concern is everything is made to fit very tight areas. I have a feel once they take everything out and put it back something wont fit, I will have a rattle somewhere, they will break something else, or have more issues down the road with things involving around this.

I will keep everyone informed as I move forward on these 2 issues.

Now this would be a cool feature if it was 100% replicable.

I just went in and they said there was nothing for a fix and no new brakes they could put on.

I have the EcoBoost PP and after having it 2 weeks, I also experienced the freight train squeal on my right front. The EcoBoost Performance Package comes with the 4 piston Brembos. I brought it in to the dealer twice to fix the issue. The first time after a long wait, they tell me they couldnt duplicate the issue. I then gave the mechanic a ride and promptly demonstrated the problem. At the time it would only happen when coming to a gradual stop and turning to the left. I was then told I would have to bring it back on a day a tech was working that knew Brembos. So, I make the appointment and bring it in for the second time, dropping it off for the day. The dealer calls me at the end of the day and says it is fixed. I asked what the problem was, and the answer I got was what they did to fix it. They scuffed the rotor surfaces. All was good until the next day, and it started again. At first only when cold, but now its at the point where any time I come to a gradual stop and turn, I get that very loud squeal. This is NOT normal, and I have owned many cars with performance brakes and never had this kind of loud, annoying, consistent squeal.
I try to come to rapid stops as much as possible so I don't have to endure all the embarrassing stares and snide comments. "Hey buddy, replace the brakes on that thing". I'll be bringing it back to the dealer again and hope for better luck. I intend to show them this thread.

He guys, I'm back. Sorry to see and hear all the issues that have been popping up with newer owners. A few weeks back (maybe a month now) I had my Ford put a new set of OEM brakes onto the car. The car had been soundless for some time. Just this last week though the squealing has been coming back on rare occasions. At first it as at night in the cold. But now its coming around in the middle of the day (Nor Cal Sacramento here). I'm going to talk to my service advisor tomorrow. My dealership had been very helpful and I hope if this news of Ford finally recognizing the issue is true. Then I'll be able to pass on good news to you all soon.

Well here's my update. remember I said I spoke to someone at Ford several weeks ago and they will have a fix out in a week and a half? Well, this individual said they would send me their contact details after we spoke - nothing. I then emailed customer service twice over the last two weeks trying to get the name and number of who called me. Radio silence.

I have a feeling this might just be my last Ford!
