2015 Gt premium squealing front brakes
First time post, First time Mustang owner.
Been reading the threads and having similiar issues with the brakes squealing since Novemeber. Thought it would go away, just happens 2 to 3 times when I am pulling away after my car has been sitting awhile. Have an appointment tomorrow with the dealership, copied these posts to show them and will take a video today. They are unaware of any issues so I dont expect anything to come of it.

I've been to the FOrd dealership twice now (once this morning) to get the screeching fixed on my $44k Mustang GT (yes I am putting the price in for effect), and was turned away saying there is nothing they can do.
He looked up my VIN # and said nothing was released. Does anyone have an update on this?

If it only happens in the circumstances you describe, it is probably just the light rust layer that can appear on the rotors, especially in moist climates or if you park the car after a wash without driving it. The first few brake applications take the rust off and the squeaking stops.

The dealership I mentioned previously (not mine) called today as they promised to let me know that a new brake assembly is being released around mid-Feb. I was pleasantly suprised they called as I am not a customer nor do I live near them. I only learned about them through a forum.
This particular dealership is one of the first - if not *the* first - to be closely involved with a Ford engineer in figuring out the brake problem, and thus will be the first in receiving a few sets of the new parts. I was told that they will be installing the new assembly on a couple cars to see how it goes even before a TSB is officially released.
Hang tight, folks. Those (dealerships) that tell you nothing is wrong just do not yet have the whole story. But it is a legitimate complaint, Ford listened, and a fix is in the works.

I hope that is the issue SpectreH. I will hopefully find out tomorrow. It seems after 1600 miles of driving daily since November the squealing would have subsided. Its embarassing when all my work buddies see me drive away at the office and then hear me brake shortly thereafter. I try to roll through the stops as to not draw attention to myself, lol.

Just finished videoing the squealing to show them. Made sure no neighbors were outside before I did, trying to protect the Mustang craftmanship and image. I live down in Fayetteville, another Yankee transplant, lol.

SergeantUSMC, what I do at 6am is slowly accelerate out of my garage, let the car roll down the driveway without braking, quickly turn left onto the street while the car bottoms out on the lip of the driveway for going to fast down an incline, close the garage door with my left hand without slowing down the car, all to avoid having to brake the car and wake up all my neighbors (I'm blessed with the most deafening squeals of them all in my new car).
Oh, and to whoever said there is no legal claim as there is no safety issue... really???
Fun stuff, thanks Ford!

Just got the Mustang back from the Ford dealership service garage. Turned it in 7 hrs. ago and was told they didnt see any problems. I asked them earlier this morning to call Ford and see if they had any guidance on the issue. I just asked when I picked the car up what Ford said, and was told they know nothing about the squealing. They wanted me to leave it overnight so they could hear the noise first thing in the morning. I said no. Thats why I showed them 2 different videos this morning. Heres when I become livid--I get in my parked car outside, there is the Ford employee I talked with early this morning 20 feet away eating something by his vehicle. I drive 4 feet and slowly press my brakes. The squeal was horrible. He twists his head and looks, and I said,"I guess they couldnt hear that squeal". I drive 2 feet, does it again, he starts saying something and I just shake my head in disgust and drive away. Hope this fix comes soon.
This is not a safety issue. It is a brake material issue. Do you think this is the first time auto brakes have squealed? Back in the 60's and 70's high performance brakes squealed, but they stopped the car. I know I had a car that could clear traffic it was so noisy, so I understand where everyone is coming from.
Several years ago a Mercedes Exec, when they still owned Chrysler, commented we (Americans) all complain about noisy brakes on the cars, to include the Mercedes, but they all stopped and stopped very well. While our "quiet" brakes were not as good at stopping.
I have not seen or heard any 2015 Mustang with noisy brakes out here.
My ECO is quiet as is a neighbor with the 5.0, so it may very well be humid or damp weather related as someone else pointed out.
Perhaps someone could start a poll to see where the cars with the noise are all located. I am not familiar with how to that, but if a mod could start it with this thread it might help to understand what is happening. Just a thought.

I'm located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Honestly don't think it has anything to do with where you live but what do I know?! All I know is Ford is aware that there's an issue because they've issued a TSB(just waiting for approval) I just want my car fixed
I understand the frustration for the people with squealing brakes. I heard a ecoboost mustang make that squeal, its pretty bad. You guys need to be patient, this is a redesigned car there will be bugs that need to be worked out.
No disrespect or anything, but it's easy for those who are not experiencing the issue to say be patient. You're not being embarrassed EVERYTIME you stop😔🙉🙊
Glad I started this thread. My dealership replaced the rotors and pads and it fixed the problem for a bit. It's back now... Not as bad as before but you shouldn't have a train squeal on a 40k plus vehicle. Good braking or not, it's annoying. This is the 14th mustang I've owned, the most expensive, and the most annoying.
Yeah I know, but also I try to not buy a first year run to avoid these possible issues. But i feel your pain, when my car was brand new every little noise was really annoying. Anyways, I am not trying to be an *** but its just the truth. I am a mechanical engineering student, let me tell you no amount of engineering will avoid problems like these. Engineering is not an exact science. Now I hope ford responds quickly thats where it matters, the response time.

I'm in California, so theory blown.
My Ford case manager called me the other day. The fix (new design of pads and rotors) will be available in two weeks, supposedly. Of course, they told me the same thing at the end of January.
All we can do is wait, because replacing the current pads and/or turning the rotors or any similar service obviously does not fix the problem. I have already had it addressed twice.
