People come into the Boss forum because half of the new threads posted on this site are Boss owners dying to share some trivial fact and looking for other Boss owners to stroke their ego and reassure them of how great their car is. Talk about an inferiority complex. Its like a giant circle jerk.
The other reason people come into the Boss forum is because its entertaining to watch how bent out of shape some of you guys get unless everything everyone posts is slobbering, lavish praise of the Boss. If someone differs from that formula, a lot of you guys act like like they came to your house while you were at work, banged your ol' lady, kicked your dog, and had your kid calling him daddy.
Jeez, its a car. Its an internet forum. Lighten up guys and relax a bit. Its all just good natured ribbing.

EDMONDS INSIDE LINE TOP 10 MOST FUN CARS
Ford Shelby GT500 Yes, we're aware that the last entry on this list was the work of the SVT boys. In fact, with its two (wildly divergent) entries, the relatively small SVT group is responsible for 20 percent of our 10 Most Fun list. It didn't have to go this way. When the modern GT500 arrived on the scene it was, well, a push pig. It was pretty much the old one-dimensional muscle-car deal. That changed for 2010 with a substantial rework of the vehicle. That was enough to vault the GT500 onto our Editors' Most Wanted list. And for '11, the GT500 got a lighter, slightly more powerful aluminum-block motor and the SVT Performance package, which served to make the GT500 not just quicker but also better handling. This is truly a dual-mode vehicle now. It's capable of doing the knuckle-dragging muscle car thing: looking menacing, sounding wicked and vaporizing its newly designed Goodyear rear tires at will. But it's also a helluva track car. The upcoming Camaro Z28 has its work cut out for it.

I see no reason to be polite to any of them.
Of course when someone calls them on their antics they fall back on- "oh, we're just having some good natured fun".
That's BS, they're noses are bent out of joint because the GT500 isn't getting all the press.

11SHELBYGT500 asked what the Boss had that HIS car didn't...his doesn't have Recaro's since they weren't available on the '11's.
And I'm perfectly calm, I'm just letting him know I think he's a complete jerk. If we were speaking face to face I called him something more strongly worded but I'm being polite on this internet forum.

Tires mods? Come on rook and the 500 doesn't need tires to beat a boss in the 1/4 and edmunds had the boss beat in A 2010 REPEAT A 2010 on video...and I'll say it again, I like the boss, the color options, no, but I like the boss just fine but the greatest mustang ever its not.
I posted all what reviewers have all said about the Boss, it's the BEST MUSTANG EVER (although I'm sure in coming years the another mustang will receive those accolades).
I've owned a GT500 and I loved it, but the Boss is a much better driving car than my GT500. I've driven the 2011 GT500 and the Boss is a better driving car.
The fact that you can't seem to accept that is pretty much irrelevant since it doesn't change the reality.
And if you need to stick drag radials on you car in order to make it launch, or send your rear tires out to be widened like many GT500 owners have done, then OBVIOUSLY it's got problems with traction. Now I'm not saying the car can't handle and perform well, but it's got some weaknesses that have plagued the car from the beginning.
Now why don't you make like a tree and beat it.

you did buy a gt with a optional package on it.
the boss and gt are very close. The v6 mustang has less in common.
I think alot of our boss owners on the site are vett guys that couldnt afford a vett. When I take my vett out I meet alot of these "vett guys" and they act just like our boss guys.

Why should I lighten up? Some of these guys are acting like total jerks.

I see no reason to be polite to any of them.
Of course when someone calls them on their antics they fall back on- "oh, we're just having some good natured fun".
That's BS, they're noses are bent out of joint because the GT500 isn't getting all the press.

Hmmm, I guess reading comprehension wasn't your strong suit in school.

I think you're just overloaded with the fact that you spent all of that money on a GT500, then the huge chunk you spent on getting the SS package (thinking it would be worth a mint someday) only to get your feelings hurt and lose your *** on the deal when you traded it for the Boss. Counting what you gave for the 500, plus the SS package and taxes you spent on both, what have you actually got tied up in the Boss at the end of the day? $70K? Not making fun, just curious. We've all lost our asses on car deals before. Trust me, I've done it plenty of times.
Relax man, get a prescription from your doctor if that's what it takes, stop spending so much time in the garage jerking off looking at the Boss and go inside and woo your missus instead and relieve some pent up anxiety. I think you're too worked up over nothing. We're just having some good banter and laughs, you seemed to have missed the memo.

All fellow Boss owners that are getting twisted off from the comparisons, They are all Mustangs. To each his own. Be happy with what you got. Relax and enjoy.
