You're just refusing to see what EVERY car reviewer and PROFESSIONAL driver has said about the Boss 302. They have NEVER made those statements about the GT500.

You and a few other GT500 owners spend all your time on the Boss forum, why?
You contribute nothing of value, you offer no insights, you're just here to bleat over and over again that the GT500 is a better Mustang. I don't think I see any Boss owners going over to the Shelby forum and bashing the GT500.
This is a classic example of an inferiorty complex that all you GT500 owners are suffering from. So why not try and grow up and just enjoy your car and let the owners of the Boss 302, who are in the Boss 302 forum, enjoy their cars.

I'll repeat, best for what? ...and yes they have.

But dont down the Shelby because of a lap time in a magazine article. I invite you boss guys to line up next to a GT500 and try your luck. The Boss is a great car and it does what it is supposed to do. But if I were gonna road race a mustang, it would be a built GT before I spent way over invoice for a boss. Bang for the buck is the way I see it. And the GT500 is still the king of the mustangs. That's the way it's always been.
The average, or even above average owner, of a GT500 cannot get the power to the ground. In a drag race against an equally average driver of a Boss 302 the Boss will walk all over the GT500. The GT500 will just spin it's wheels. EVERY review of the GT500 has stated it's just difficult to make a clean launch. I'm not bashing the GT500, I'm just stating fact.
These launch problems have not been a problem for the Boss.

Where do you get these facts? From magazines or out of the air? "would walk all over the GT500" that's my favorite

What are you stupid?
Best handling, best performing, best driving. I could not believe how light and nimble the Boss feels compared to the GT500. It stays glued to the road and always feels balanced. The GT500 ALWAYS feels nose heavy, it's a heavy car.
The Shelby is a fine car but it just was never engineered the way the Boss was.

Again, are you stupid? The number one complaint in all car reviews has always been how hard it is to launch the GT500 when doing a 1/4 mile or 0-60. The car does not have the tire size to handle the power and it spins.
Now if you want to pretend that problem doesn't exist then fine.

And I will ask again....why are you here? You come across as a complete jerk-off. Go spend your time on the Shelby forum and listen to the crickets.

It's because of low end torque or lack there of. You really think they make a regular oem street tire that will handle that power on take off? How much power does the boss produce at 3k rpm. The Shelby produces 500+ at 3000. Change the race from a 50mph roll so spinning won't be an excuse then.

I'll give this to you. The Boss may be the better racer completely bone stock with no mods at all. Better time slips that is.
Throw slicks on both and have an all out drag race. Let's see that.

You don't race 1/4 mile on street tires. :duh:

7500rpm redline!
Several hundred pounds of LESS weight.
A better suspension.
Racaro seats- no slipping on leather in hard cornering.

HA HA HA!!! Now you want to add mods??? Both of you have just proven that the GT500 needs MODS to try and perform to the same level of the Boss.

Tires mods? Come on rook and the 500 doesn't need tires to beat a boss in the 1/4 and edmunds had the boss beat in A 2010 REPEAT A 2010 on video...and I'll say it again, I like the boss, the color options, no, but I like the boss just fine but the greatest mustang ever its not.

Come on man. I gave it to the boss as a better time slip racer completely factory stock. Lack of horsepower always helps with traction.

People come into the Boss forum because half of the new threads posted on this site are Boss owners dying to share some trivial fact and looking for other Boss owners to stroke their ego and reassure them of how great their car is. Talk about an inferiority complex. Its like a giant circle jerk.

The other reason people come into the Boss forum is because its entertaining to watch how bent out of shape some of you guys get unless everything everyone posts is slobbering, lavish praise of the Boss. If someone differs from that formula, a lot of you guys act like like they came to your house while you were at work, banged your ol' lady, kicked your dog, and had your kid calling him daddy.

Jeez, its a car. Its an internet forum. Lighten up guys and relax a bit. Its all just good natured ribbing.

you did buy a gt with a optional package on it.

the boss and gt are very close. The v6 mustang has less in common.

I think alot of our boss owners on the site are vett guys that couldnt afford a vett. When I take my vett out I meet alot of these "vett guys" and they act just like our boss guys.
