For whatever reason I haven't been able to even get a build quarter out of my dealer. When I ordered they kept saying it was an "early" one, so I assumed 1st qtr, but so far no new information (emailed him a week or so ago). Guess I'll ask him again.

Well from every thing I have read and going on what my dealer told me, the quarter build is about as basic as it comes. First thing they should know is how many they will get what and quarter.
RixterGT I hope you have the DORA, and they are not selling you something they can not even order. Remember (supposedly) the dealer can order a Boss but it does not mean they will get it if they have no allocation.

I remember all the talk about being able to order whether they have an allocation or not, and I don't think that's the case here, but It's probably worth talking to my salesman again and make sure they know what they're doing.

My last response from dealer was Feb 21:
Right now the vehicle is unscheduled with a material hold (recaro seats). It will still be produced during the first quarter. As soon as I get a schedule date (possibly thursday this week) I will let you know.

hey guys im new to the site, long time ford fan....just ordered my first mustang (Boss 302). I was told it should be here in june. All I have received is a order # C129 and a priority code of 12.

I got the VIN from the dealer. He looked up the order in his computer (I assume this is the VVS everyone talks about). The screen shows all his 2012 cars on order.
I've been going into the dealer once a week for the past 2 months, my salesman looks up the info right from his desk.

I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet myself, but I have zero doubt that I would feel exactly the same way, especially after lurking here for a long time and reading all the Boss threads. I wonder if I'll get lucky and be able to snag one from dealer stock as I won't be ready to buy until Q2/3 ? i'd prefer a Kona, but would take any of the other colors except for the Yellow Blaze.

I don't, but after reading most every thread in the Boss section of this forum the past 6 months, you learn a thing or 2. Read some of the other threads in this section that cover orders and such and you'll see what this refers to.
