There are still a bunch of us Q1 folks who don't have VIN's yet. The schedule is still backed up by ??? weeks.

 

Wow, sorry to hear that. I can tell you that when I contacted them they were excellent with me. Everyone wanted to give me the best info possible they had but they are working with a broken tracking system. If they could tell me the car was moved at 3:01 Pm to lot 51 in row 16, third car in next to a Black Shelby and a White V6 they would have.

Problem is they just plain do not have access to that kind of info.

In any case good luck, maybe try with a different person.

I sent my dealer an email today and he'll check and update me on Friday. I'm not expecting any news.

 

I'm one of them. Still nothing yet on my Q1 build. Salesperson tells me he will have some info this week.

 

Add me to the list of 1 quarter builds still waiting for a build date. Less patiently as time passses. Also still need a vin. I too am supposed to get more info by the end of the week.

Great news, for us late first Qs.

 

I am very lucky, my dealer has recieved only two 12's. I am guessing mine was the first ordered 12. The other was a lave red vert that had a "C" but the 11 number - C199988 or something like that. The guys there are not happy about not having more to show.

 

I know customer service said things are moving again, but my dealer still shows the Boss as being on material hold. Just trying to keep the thread alive, Im hungry for information.

 

Keep an eye on the Q1 thread. If that's still alive there are still people ahead of this group who haven't had their cars yet either. If all is right in the world, the Q1 folk will be taken care of before the Q2 allocations begin...

 

So who else is now expecting an August/September delivery in this group?

 

I am hoping for first half of Q3 (July/August). At this rate Ford will only be making 1600 Boss 302s for 2012.....only 400 in Q1, including LSs. I would definetly be a little more nervous if I were a Q3 or Q4 build.

I want it before summer's over, but shouldn't the Q1 include about 1000 cars? What's our serial tracking at? 300-ish?

 

Exactly i am a Q4 build, i assume they shoud have their shat together by then and be fine. otherwise if Q4 cars are delayed as much as Q1 and Q2 cars i will cancel and order a 13. i suspect the flood gates will open soon adn they will be sending hoards of boss' out the doors.

 

Anyone remember when a Model Year didn't come out until the late fall/winter of the previous calendar year?

Q1 of Fiscal Year 2012(you do remember these are 2012 Mustangs?) is OCT-DEC11, so there's plenty of time before Q1 is over.

 

Oh yeah, I remember paper in the windows of dealerships, and then the big unveiling of all the models on the same day at night. My dad and I would go to the dealership and wait.

TV show Bonanza used to show ads of all the new Chevys during one episode.

 

True....this might work out nicely for this years Q4 orders. If Q4 is pushed to Q1 they will have color options form 2012 and 2013.....glass half full.
