Looks like a lot of VIN's were given out since last Friday and with production back up it shouldn't be long now until the first Q2 Boss cars have VIN's.
On another note there was an article in the WSJ yesterday about how the rail industry had cut back during the recession and they don't have the capacity to handle the increased auto production coming out of Detroit. Here's a quote from the article:
"The shortage of freight cars has added anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to the time it takes for new cars to reach dealers, forcing auto makers to park finished vehicles near plants around the country.
The shortage of rail cars has "created a hiccup in our system" acknowledged GM spokesman Selim Bingol. Chrysler declined to comment and Ford declined to provide details of the delivery backups."

Sounds like they're struggling quite a bit with parts due to Japan:

Mine was supposed to be 1st quarter car. I really expected to have it by now. Put my deposit down at end of november. Still have no vin or nuthin. Talk about having a hard time being patient. As the weather gets better here it gets even harder.

I'm hoping for a flood of VIN's tomorrow and on the 22nd to clear out the Q1 cars. With any luck we should see the first Q2 VIN's by April 29th. Keep your fingers crossed.
Toes too. The reality is that those of us (such as myself) who've ordered the Recaros are being held back by a material hold. It seems they just can't build those seats fast enough to meet the demand. I expect that there is a chance that Q2 cars without that option will start to get built before the Q1 cars with Recaros are finished.

Finally
Just got an update from my salesperson. Have a build week of May 2. Do not have a vin but at least I now have something concrete. Hopefully it won't change. The waiting is killing me.

I have a felling its NOT going to be any time soon. Roughly, half of the Q1 cars have been recived......if you go by the 1000 cars/qt number. We will not see any major movement untis all the Q1 guys have their cars, not VINS, but cars...
