Boss Second Quarter Allocations

Now that the cars are shipping the Q1 hysteria will die down. Time to build some second quarter hysteria! Has anyone with a Q2 allocation received a VIN yet? I promised myself I wouldn't start bothering my dealer until April 1st but I might break that promise.

I just found a dealer that sold me their 2nd qtr allocation and got a discount!!! WOOOHOOO!! Now I will have my car for the summer!!!

I had to cave-in. When should I start bugging my dealer for a VIN? The first VIN's were available in early December if I remember correctly.

Bummer. I'll use you as a gauge of when to start bugging my dealer. When you have a VIN I'll start. I hope you get yours Monday!

OK, for reference, my DORA is dated 12/2 and I received my VIN 12/17 for a Scheduled to Week of 1/31.

I'm in the same boat. Hopefully I have better news tomorrow when I call the salesman, especially with all the recent activity at the plant.

fwiw, My dealer said Ford's computer was updated during the day on Thursday, so he said he would call me every Friday morning with whatever info was available to him. He did. Still does.

Strange, I had a DORA a day or two after ordering (Nov 30) and the VIN maybe two days after that. Sounds like your car is not first quarter, in any case they should at the very least know the qtr.
