Come on be more optimistic. The Q1 cars don't need to be delivered before they start scheduling Q2 cars. Over a 1/3 of Q1 cars have been delivered. There's another 1/3 in the supply chain and most of the other 1/3 have been scheduled. It takes on average three weeks from finished production to delivery. There's a bunch of them already on their way. Not all Boss owners are on this site plus a bunch are ordered for dealer stock. Just check ebay.
Hey Guys Here is one for you. I got a call from my dealer yesterday and he told me that they did not get the allocation they thought they had for a Boss but they did get an allocation for an LS. I told him I would take the LS at MSRP (which is what I had ordered the other Boss at) which was fine with him but I would need to stop and sign a new order and sign off the old order cause he did not want to be held liable...again fine with me. Now for the bombshell the car I had ordered was a 2Q build and I stopped at the dealer this morning and did the required paperwork. As soon as it was done he asked me to stay in his office for a minute while he called his Ford rep to give him/her the required information. When he got off the phone he told me while he was on the phone the order was pulled and that I should have a VIN by the end of the week (and possibly scheduled) along with to expect the car in 3-4 weeks. One thing shipping should not be a ajor issue as I am only 2 hours from the plant. I find it hard to believe that 1Q are not built and they promised that my 2 car would be built....in my opinion almost immediately.

someone was wondering how backed up they are. if the first one was only built in february, then i figured that illustrated the point that they cant ahve too many Q1 cars ready in a coupe motnhs with shortages since we are in early Q2 already.

0001 doesn't mean it was or wasn't the first Boss down the assembly line. It does mean it was the first Boss serialized.
We are talking about 1,000 cars per quarter. They make more Mustangs than that in a week. I don't expect production to remain behind forever. Hopefully they get caught up quickly.
